True, i never thought of them as particularly dark, tho there is the ice queen thing, that suits too.

You don't see Bhelen as dark after playing a DN? Did you end up being the one to kill Trian? Because if you do and he just tattles on you then you have less reason to think of him that way.

Ok him, in that particular origin, yes..after I got back to Orzammar at least. Before that He wasn't so much dark as jackassery. When I think dark, I think brooding and devious, Nathaniel, Morrigan. Though Anora is cunning, and ruthless, and devious so...yep, apparently dark and ice queen go hand in hand.

The villains in Mean Girls were blonde. My husband pointed out that most of the villians in Die Hard 1 and 3 were also blonde. (For what it's worth, Alan Rickman is naturally blonde even though he dyed his hair in the movie. =p)

Yeah, there's plenty of light haired villains. I think the light features help to put more of an emphasis on their face instead so you can do more with make-up and such. Black hair with dark eye make up, dark tattoos, dark lipstick -- it can get to be too much sometimes.

Yeah, that's true. I did ok with Tryna, without going over the top to make her look all badass, just a little squint and slant to the eyes. My dalish mage is all kindness and warmth with dark hair and light eyes, I don't know how I got stuck on "the look" for Jaina.

Since if you decide to betray Bhelen for Harrowmont before Jarvia Dulin asks you to look for papers proving Bhelen had Trian killed and you actually find them then that means that for all non-DN origins Bhelen actually does frame his sibling for Trian's death so he's always dark.

That's what I did, I think I just got it stuck in my head that dark persona = dark look. And I should know better since Uma Thurman in Kill Bill is one of my favorite characters in a movie. And That other chick's whistle is my cell ring tone...lol

Aye. When I watched the movie as a younger girl, I had a huge crush on David Bowie and totally wanted him to hook up with Jennifer Connelly. It was like a romance fantasy of sorts. When I saw it again as an adult, I went, "WHAT THE F IS THIS?" The way older man and the inappropriately young girl dynamic hit me like a bat. I was weirded out. I remembered how much I loved it, but the adult in me was just going ... whaaa? So I have mixed feelings about the movie. There was no romance, of course, but the goblin king just wanted her love to survive!

Heh, no more pictures from me! Time for me to do my midnight grocery shopping. Had a pretty rough day with the kid. Finally got him to go back to bed. This is the only time of day where I can shop for groceries in peace -- I don't have a kid knocking things off the shelves and I don't have a husband text messaging me about the kid going ballistic at home since they're both sleeping at this point.
