If crickets are anywhere near as annoying as cicadas then I'm glad they aren't really in my area. They only come out every 17 years but it's for a few weeks and when this happened right after my sophomore year of high school three years ago they were freaking everywhere and they would never shut up!

They just ****** me off because they're so disrespectful. It's ridiculous. Why the hell do you tag and grafitti your own building? If someone wants to know building number they can look at the sign outside, they don't need to be reminded that this is building XYZ and ElDouche lives here or whatever.

They also tag the old church and even the goddamn gravestones.... sigh.

Everything gets tagged in Providence too.  There was this huge wall that was painted w/ whales and other sea life that was right near the highway and someone tagged it.  People even tag the barriers inbetween the highway and the sides of the over passes!

Well that's better than we get out here in country Jersey.  in Hillsborough, NJ, there is a smie-trailer parked near a construction site.  On the side, someone tagged a giant "leaking" c-0-ck and balls, with a phrase that said something like "Keep reaching for the stars".  Graffiti is not exclusive to urban areas. No crappy cars that scrape the roads with their spoilers (not low rides, they're broken) painted with regular house-paint while playing music like this obnoxiously loud to attract females around the ages 13-16 (after that they're too old, and the males are 24-35)?

I could come to like the Spanish kind.

I would rather have to listen to that all the time than crappy country or ghetto music.

Well, that is only when they are on the prowl for prey. Otherwise we have this, a song about masturbation for those who don't know Swedish and wish to know.

Isn't that crazy? All of our freeway overpasses are tagged and sometimes I'm just amazed at how they actually got up there to tag it.  It's pretty much a miracle here if something isn't tagged.  I feel sorry for the guy down the street, his fence has more tagging on it than it does actual housepaint.

I have a love/hate relationship with it. I wish I lived somewhere I could see A star at night, or I could just walk outside to my own yard or porch and not have to deal with the morons who live here. I have a bit of social anxiety so living in such a crowded area is nervewracking.

But all things considered I'd rather live here than some other places. The convenience and access to interesting things (like museums, IMO, not 5th ave and the Sex and the City life, ick) is good.

So, for the experts here, I'm having a strange problem with Fraps video.  On that swooping kiss, I start the video capture and end it as I normally would.  However, when I go to shut down, I get an error message which I think means it's still recording, and when I look at the video it starts at the fade-to-black rather than the actual beginning of the conversation.  It did it before and I finally got it to work after 6 or 7 tries.  Now I want to re-do the video in a more scenic place, without the dog barking, but I'm having the same problem and it's making me tear my hair out.  Any ideas?  I've tried closing and re-opening Fraps, changing the key etc.

Did you get it  fixed? Is it only doing it for the one kiss, or is it doing it for everything now?

Seems to work normally otherwise.  I'm wondering if it is something with the mod, since the screen goes black, if somehow that is confusing the program?  Not sure why it would erase everything before that though.

Which mod is it that gives you the swoop in that? I've been mixing mods up, and I want to make sure I have the correct one, to test it out.

Exactly.  If I could just stumble over to the Met and see a Rembrandt on a whim.....I'd be a happy, happy person.  As it is now, it takes me a while 45 minutes Posted Image

I'd kill for some Chinese food. Or any food that doesn't contain obescene amounts of olive oil, salt, mayonaise, and pork products of some description.

From all the talk, I guess I'll put up with the extraordinarily high housing prices, traffic, general stupidity and materialism that is LA. At least I can always get a cheap cup of coffee, good chinese food and don't have to deal with rednecks and junkies... that is, as long as my car is working.

What's funny is two years ago, I flew to L.A. to visit my mom in Palm Springs. I remember how much I hated California long ago, but when I landed in LAX, I wanted to kiss the ground. I never thought I'd be so glad to arrive back in Cali, but I was.

City life can be a nightmare, even life in the 'burbs, but I could always tune all the BS out quite effectively and go about my business with little problem or interference.

Actually now it IS doing it for other videos.  It's like it's delaying the start by a minute.  Grrr, how frustrating.  I have no idea what's up with it.

Ahhhhh! We had our plague of cicadas 6 years ago (I think it was) and holy hell it was like Night of the Living Dead (Insects) for three weeks. Between the creepy squirming out of the ground, the red eyes, the SOUND and then the coating every exterior surface with their corpses, it was horrible. I couldn't walk to lunch without getting pelted by half a dozen.

Argh, the eyes give me nightmares.

That reminds me, someone should mod in a Alistair/Zevran sexy time scene; we already got him with Morrigan, and apparently, with Leliana, so.....

Ali/Zevran?  That's tame!  This thread has seen Alistair/ Loghain and the wonderfully pederastic Alistair/ Teagan.  Am I missing any?

Yes, there was Alistair and Eamomorrighain or whatever that abomination's name was.

I believe I´ve seen Alistair / dog and Alistair / Shale already, too. If you don´t have them here yet, you should get them.

That's for damned sure. It's all over the village, stuff that looks at home in a subway. The real sick part is that's it's always on the walls and wall-fences of these 500+ year old buildings that are crumbling into ruin.

I have a porch where I am now and it isn't all it's cracked up to be.  Very late at night like 2-4AM it's alright because the whole town is asleep and it's dead quite.  During the day though everyone in their dog will come over and talk if I'm out there.
