Shale! Alistair and Wynne give disapproval, don't they? I imagine that Leliana would, too. I would use Morrigan, Oghren and Zevran for that part.

Just those two? Him officially meeting Fergus might be nice, especially if they're already engaged.LadyDamodred wrote...

Nice. Sorry, still catching up on the thread.
I need to have one made, but I can't friggin' decide on what I want. Someone help me~!
I want it to be Alistair and my canon HNF. I just can't figure out what I want for the pic. *frowns*
And make sure to lie to Shale when with the persuade option when she asks about it or you may neve recover the lost approval.cmessaz wrote...

Leliana is sort of not with me. Neither is Shale for that matter.
Since I killed Wynne and Alistair is not playing tank this time, this is very doable. Thanks!SurelyForth wrote...

I forgot about Lel. So Wynne and Alistair are the only two who would give you a hit, the others should be safe.

Those are my settings, as well. It does seem like it's a delay with the keyboard, but on an experiment I tried re-doing that swooping kiss video and hit the capture key, waited a while, then started the dialogue with Alistair. It started recording at exactly the same spot, during the fade-out before the PC's stumble. But the same delay happens with other scenes, too.sabreene wrote...
I don't know enough about it. Searching, it looks like they used to have a problem with delay between the keyboard and the video starting, but that was several versions ago, so that shouldn't be the problem. I do see where it says if it's over 3.9 GB, it'll break it into 2 videos, but that shouldn't be the problem either. I just don't know enough about it.
I can tell you that I have my video capture settings on 30 fps at Full size, have checked 'record sound' and chosen 'detect best sound input', and checked "hide mouse".

I'm getting two done and for one of mine I wanted family picture so I had to do three extra characters. Still, $2 really isn't all that much.LadyDamodred wrote...

Oh, lol. That would be cute! Great idea! Adding a third character, though. I dunno. A whole extra $2...
Addai: Try uninstalling and reinstalling. That would be my only advice. :/

Ok, maybe this means something to somebody smart. When I close down after trying to make a video, I'm getting an error message. The times I was able to get a clean video today, I didn't get it, so I figure it's related somehow. The error reads:
DAOrigins.exe- Application Error. The instruction at "0x4felclf8" referenced memory at "0x00172ccl". The memory could not be "read." Click OK to terminate the program.
The game's working fine otherwise, and I checked the RAM and CPU, no issues there. It just appears that Fraps and DAO are not talking to each other well, or something. Screenshots work fine, however.
Maybe I should move this to PC Technical Support.

Interesting. So it might be a larger problem, after all. Yikes.sabreene wrote...
Most the time a referenced memory error means something is up with your ram sticks. You could try reseating them, and/or using memtest. Memtest is at www.memtest86.com/
A lot of times if there's a small portion of a stick that's wonky, you'll get strange errors only when it refereneces that particular bit of memory.
I didn't even know about alt-tabbing. LOL You learn something every day, and forget twice as much.Lady Jess wrote...
Are you alt+tabbing out before turning off the capture? I know if I hit the video key in game, and tab out before I turn it off I get that error. I discovered this when I couldn't remember if I'd turn video capture on or off, or back on because my vid button was too close to my screen shot one. So I'd tab out to see if it was still recording, and if it was I'd hit the key again to turn it off, and get that error.

lol well however you get to your desktop from the game without exiting it. If I go to desktop with video running then stop it errors. Like it's trying to read the game, but can't because it's minimized and freaks out.

Hey, is anyone else's crap taking forever to upload to this site? Or is it just me.
Yeah because my avatar looks a little different now in-game, and I changed it last night. I would like it to update someday. I am going to try manually uploading screenshots to see if it helps.yukidama wrote...
