I can't believe how slow the thread is tonight.

Hey, is anyone else's crap taking forever to upload to this site? Or is it just me.

The site is giving me fits in general, doing funky stuff when I try to post and hanging forever between pages. But, since I live in the middle of nowhere, I don't know if it's this site or our Makerforsaken squirrel-powered internet service that's causing the problems.

Thank you, dear.

So is there anything you can do or do you need to get a new account? Did they say why it was locked?

sorry for trying to write my fanfiction :crying:

why are first chapters and first meetings for fanfictions always so damn complicated

My first chapter was easy to write, but it wasn't a meeting or anything. Or even really a true introduction.

I'm writing, too, and I have to be super careful because I'm at a big This Is Where The Story Is Heading point and I don't want to put anything out there that I'm not 1000% committed to. It's frustrating because I just want to write cute stuff right now, but it's got to be all "continuity" and "solid plotting." Boo!

I can't click 'remember me' or else it makes me log in every time I go to a new page and won't let me post. How does that make sense?

I don't blame him for joining Jarvia. But he escaped with me, he saw what happened to the carta in my way. He should know that sending a few thugs to my house isn't going to stop me. If only they had written a part to let him join the winning side (mine).

Yeah, I get an error if I use the 'windows' button on my keyboard. It's a different error, but it does error out on me and not like it.

If it is a ram - memory issue, sometimes it's just a matter of dust. I've cleaned out the inside of computers and then blown on the sticks and reseated them and the unreadable memory issues have gone away.

Open up the computer and physically do something to it?  My husband would have a heart attack.

I think that error is because it is still trying to record and I shut the game down, so it's like "hey, what happened to da game, we're busy."  I just don't know why Fraps isn't listening to me when I tell it to start and stop.  I have Alistair-elf kisses to record, dammit!  I did get a clean video of the post-tent discussion when the PC has initiated sexytime, but that's not terribly squee-worthy.  Alistair could have laid it on a little thicker there.  Of course, he figures he's got the girl, so...

Intro's can be easy but I confess the continutey is hard as well.
But I really want to write this Dragon Age fanfic but remembering conversations is so damn hard
yeah I want to write simple and 'cute' one shots...I mean I wrote a one shot and now I'm wondering if "maybe I should write a sequel" or just leave it alone because of all the Alistair and Cousland fluff out there I like my fluff but sometimes it feels too Disney and fluffy like

We need all the fluff we can get amidst all the angsty 'I didn't declare myself Queen so Alistair dumped me' and 'I'm not a HN and even though I might be (though not guarenteed) mistress Alistair is going to get married!' stories. They just get depressing after awhile...Posted Image

I think it's squee-worthy. I prefer being told that nobody's made him feel the way he does to a straightforward "I love you." But I am weirdly unsentimental about such things.

I just realized that I did something funky to my iTunes and have been listening to Neil Patrick Harris sing "Dream On" for like an hour straight. Derp.

Oh yes, I like that part, I mean the follow-up the next time you come back to camp.  The conversation where he's basically asking you if you're going to dump him.  It's nice that he tells you he hopes you'll be his last.  Just sad, in light of the DR.

Oh, yeah. That one. <_< I always imagine David Gaider rubbing his hands together all evil-like when he wrote that.

Since I bed him early and harden him late, I don't associate the second conversation with the sex anymore.

The sexiest voice in DA that's not Steve Valentine or Simon Caldwell (Nathaniel's VA): Ken Lally, the cocky Human Male voice set guy.  I swooned over my HNM's voice the whole game.  "Trap!  So simple to see, really."  "Here to save the day!"  "Oh look, it wants to fight."

I've just read so many critics saying there was too much Alistair and Cousland mostly bashing and I think even one of the story writers pointed out Cousland/Alistair is the highest choice of characters on FF.net that I was nervous about writing my one shot and then I saw people writing the same deal and I was "Crap I reallly need to write this childhood story because it seems other people are getting the same ideals."
I can't stand depressing stories, I need stories about strength, friendship, growing up, and maybe love.

Its funny I write my characters as if they were 18-21 or teenagers...:P

its funny on a differant fandom I started to write a fanfiction and one of the reviews stated that they never read about this character but they were enjoying it. I reread it today and I noticed that story has two typo's..

So is there anything you can do or do you need to get a new account? Did they say why it was locked?

It does not say.  I will try giving a call tomorrow.  I don't really want to have to create a whole new email address for it, since apparently both of mine are listed on the frickin' thing.

And I am losing my mind trying to keep everyone alive at redcliffe with no healing.  I keep coming this close and then one fool dies.

Well reading imdb.com, it says that Teagan's VA does the Violent set.  I'll have to notice that one next time around.  But I loved my swaggering Englishman.

Ok, am I stupid?  What does this mean?

"Fraps 3.2 brings a new feature for registered users - loop recording, constantly capture the previous 30 seconds of video.
To start the buffering press and hold the video capture hotkey for a
second. The Fraps counter will turn pink to show that video is being
cached. When you want to save the action simply tap the capture hotkey
and the recording will continue as normal (including the previous 30
seconds of footage)."

Because now I'm wondering if this is what it's doing- only recording 30 second increments?

its funny on a differant fandom I started to write a fanfiction and one of the reviews stated that they never read about this character but they were enjoying it. I reread it today and I noticed that story has two typo's..

Currently on ff.net it says that there are:
1396 DA stories
570 Alistair stories
405 Cousland stories
215 Alistair/Cousland stories
139 Tabris stories
138 Amell stories
99 Mahariel stories
95 Surana stories
43 Aeducan stories
28 Brosca stories

So yeah, a large chunk of them involve Cousland and/or Alistair but that's because so many people like it. I know I've read all the Aeducan stories on there and that's fine because it's only 43 and of those 43 I've written 14 which is very nearly a third. Can you imagine trying to read even just all the Alistair/Cousland stories on there?

Basically, just write whatever makes you happy and if other people complain they've seen the pairing before it's only becase other people love it as much as you do and the complainer has been reading those kinds of stories too. Posted Image

Is there somewhere to get the .mrh files for the CC presets? I found one I adore, but if I take it in game with a custom hairstyle I'll get those nasty baldspots, and I'd like to use more makeup options.

It sounds like it is saying that while the Fraps counter is pink, it is constantly recording 30-second videos one after the other. But if you press the capture hotkey, it will change between normal recording and 30-second increment recording. Maybe the counter is not pink while it is recording normally?
