Plenty of you gals go on about a Nate romance with HNFs...

Except Nate comes to like you and admits his dad was an ass?  In the end, he more regrets what his father became and isn't really angry at you at all.

And Anora thinks her father is insane and works with you against him at the Landsmeet... potentially getting him killed.  Not much of a difference to me.

Except for when she betrays your ass to stick by her father, or when Loghain basically tells you she set you up.

Methinks we are going in circles here.

Well, it could help explain the lack of children without having Anora be barren although Cailan could be sterile, even though slapping Alistair's hand away is a bad PR move she does it anyway on the way to be coronated, she comes across as one of the more detached characters in-game, she's never had many friends, was isolated as a child...there are many hints of this.

It was kind of cute and sad at the same time.  Not particularly inspirational though... Alistair is definitely the better orator.

Are we?  I don't see the two cases being very different.  Nate set out to kill you in the begining of Awakenings after all.  Who's to say Anora wouldn't warm up to the PC/Alistair in time as well.

Axekix:  I think in the end we will hold onto our respective positions, though I will grant an Alistair who has never been through a romance will probably be much happier than one who was if only because he doesn't know what he is missing.

Well she doesn't really like Alistair, at least not at first.  I mean in her post coronation dialogue she asks if he's "always like that." I imagine he has that affect on a lot of people

Fair enough.  I imagine if the roles were reversed and I could marry Morrigan off to a male version of Anora I wouldn't like "him" either.

try asking Errant Knight. She posed this question on the boards in a thread a while back asking how a Romanced PC could kill Alistair.  She may have some answers?  Lady D and Mousestalker both came up with the best answers that I recall.

Keeping Loghain is the only way to kill off Alistair at the Landsmeet.
