No way. Unless DA2 managed to somehow destroy my seriousness like Origins did.

I just read both threads (or at least the main parts, not the comments) and just...wow. So Morrigan won followed closely by Leliana? I shudder to think of how Anora reacted.

Yeah, I cannot justify tattoos on HNs. I even had a hard time on my CEM, but it was doable while my HNs were not.

I know people have HN PCs with tattoos, and that's fine. I am speaking from a purely RP perspective that for a Cousland to have a tattoo is verboten.

Aside from my irrational hatred of facial tattoos, I can't see a DN having one either. I mean, the only tattooed dwarves you run into are casteless or Legion of the Dead. Sure, you could try to be a 'rebel' but that wouldn't keep you Daddy's favorite, now would it? It's just not believable to me. That origin, however, does strike me as very believable in getting a facial tattoo after their exile since they're casteless now and that's what casteless dwarves do: get tattoos.

I just spent the last two hours trying to make a dwarf in the toolset. I just... can't make dwarves. I suck at making dwarves.

I've never had that problem but I cannot make a non-pinchy elf. Maybe it's the lesser ability to tweak characters on the XBox?

Thank you! I like the style of the Templar stuff, wearing the ivory tower on her for now, but it's so BIG...I look like someone stuck a tiny human head on a giant.

Just a note, if it's custom armour set which reskins the default templar armour then you may experience some weirdness there. Best case the weapons will be slightly off when held in hands, worse case it will be the gloves that won't be exactly lined up with the arms. This is rather unavoidable because custom armours come with their own file which describes 'skeleton' of the person who wears it, and they use this file taken from default game and using the default dimensions rather than modified one. Posted Image

I am using your elf massive armor mod and it isn't causing any weirdness with Orator vestments, or black templar armor.

Yeah, the only thing I'm getting is my hands clipping into my hips a litte, but nothing freakish, or really all that noticeable.

It was rigged. Dagna was the rightful winner *waves banner*.

Ohh that's cool to know. Maybe the massive sets are just so big the shapes mask any potential gaps well enough Posted Image

edit: snap, top of the page. Here Alistair provides lessons how to look out for the swooping. Or something.

My Dalish is 19 at the beginning of DA, quite experienced as a hunter/fighting, but still regarded as troublemaker/child by the elders. It's fitting for her that she is a slightly younger than Alistair, I like that. (I place him being 20)

I think we talked briefly on this in the dwarf thread, trying to come up with a reason for dwarf nobles to have tattoos. I don't think there actually ever was an explanation. The nobles have access to different tattoos than the commoners do.

I thought for dwarves it was sort of way to show who they were. Like the Legion of the Dead has their tattoo patterns apparently. The casteless have their brand too. So it'd kind of made sense for dwarf noble to have a crown pattern on his torehead or something similar, to mark the status? Don't know really Posted Image

I suppose that would explain why they'd get a crown but the lack of any other nobility having a tattoo makes me think that they just don't get them. Maybe they view it as a lesser caste thing so it's a huge scandal when the prince/princess everybody likes gets one.

All my toolset dwarves look like potatoes. Their faces are just lumpy and shapeless when I try. In the CC I can get something okay looking. Alternatively, I cannot make a good looking human or elf face in the CC, but I make a lot of stuff I like in the toolset. The human female noses in the CC drive me absolutely batsh!t.

You know, at some point these things are fair game. Kind of like how my dad and little brother honestly were outraged when they decided to watch Buffy and I mentioned what happened with Dawn...That show ended seven years ago!

You could always try to use fraps to capture this part, maybe? Much easier to then pick one  good frame (or more) from movie clip than get lucky with the screen capture button Posted Image

Yeah, we were just mocking the dwarf female npcs the other day. Whoever was working on them wasn't trying at all. In fact, the dwarf prostitute at the Pearl is the nicest looking one I've seen yet. When DA Redesigned comes back up, I will link to the author's interpretation of Mardy. I think she is gorgeous. Wonder if we can get a preset out of it.

I've seen the dwarven presets and I just cannot get them to look decent. At all. The default one is the only I can actually work with and even then I hate all of the noses.

That's true, i can't really remember seeing anyone in the noble quarters sporting one so it's probably not something they'd do normally. Wish there was more lore made available about the backgrounds.

Hahaha.  Well, knowing who wrote it there was no way Morrigan could lose anyway.

It's the before and after picture for the threesome? The DNM likes it rough.

I think mine looks okay considering I started out with that jaundiced redhead preset who has a fetish with a ketchup and mustard color scheme (red eyeshadow, red lipstick, red hair, yellow skin)

I remember that one! Is she the one who looked like she was sucking on a lemon? Of course, I had to make sure that my DN brothers weren't prettier than she was because that would be pathetic although my DC didn't have to be as pretty as Rica as she's the NH.

Hye, Alistair fans.

Just finished my first PT. Ali and the Warden lived happily ever after as King and Queen, and I just thought I'd pop in to say how much I LOVE that man. lol

Adorable romances are adorable. :D
