Idun: Leliana!  What are you staring at?!

Leliana: Your...hair!  Yes, your hair is so very lovely, how do you keep it so shiney here in the wilderness?

Eww, don't go there.  LOL

Alright, here are some videos.  Sadness ensues.  :crying:  I know many of you will never kill Connor, but if you're curious, here are some of the variations on it.

One Dalish-specific dialogue (or maybe it's general elven??), Idun talking to Connor about the elven idea of death.  Very sad.  :crying::crying::crying:

PC knocks Isolde out and kills Connor

Isolde kills Connor part 1 and part 2 (I guess Fraps thought the file was too big, because I fought that demon Maker knows how many times trying to get a single video and without any haze around my PC from the demon's attacks, and finally gave up... grr!)

It really is better to let Isolde do it, though it's very, very sad.  But right to the end she really is only thinking of herself, even in the after-discussion with Teagan.  He's glad that no one else is going to suffer from the demon and she snarks at him for "celebrating" while her son is dead.

The down side of this is that it could be a distraction for your companions, too.

"Hey, Alistair!  (Zevran/Oghren etc.)  Eyes on the darkspawn there, pal!"

Leliana: Your...hair!  Yes, your hair is so very lovely, how do you keep it so shiney here in the wilderness?

Idun: I don't believe you. *flames her to a big pile of ash*

Problem solved B)

LOL!  You guys know me too well.

Do you have a video of that?  I've never seen it.

Alistair does mention Garahel in Ostagar if you ask him about the Blight.  He doesn't say he's elven, though, so I guess if your PC didn't already know him, you wouldn't realize he was an elf.

The funniest mention of Garahel has to be Morrigan telling the male PC she's just slept with about Wardens' famed longevity in the sack.  :wizard:

Of the after-conversation with Teagan?  I do, in fact.  I'll upload it now.

Why does everyone in Ferelden carry a giant unsheathed kitchen knife at the small of their backs?

Aidan went back in a quick hurry too!

Really? Wouldn't that cause problems with Zevran? Could he really live there?

It said he went with her. For a time. Which works fine, because she'll be going through Awakening, So it's easier to rp him not being with her in Amaranthine with the "for a time" ending.

So Caislyn has had exactly 2 conversations with Alistair, and no gifts and poof we have that lovely "is something on your mind". What the heck, is it a mage thing?...lol I swear I never get there that fast on any other class.

Here you go.

Sten approves of you killing Connor, even though he's not in the party.  *why ask why*  Zevran also approves, a slight bump if you let Isolde do the deed and a larger one if you knock her out and do it yourself.  I really think the latter is what Idun would actually have done.  For one thing, she would not take kindly to Isolde saying "I ORDER you to stop."  That is especially insulting to an elf.  But the bottom line is she wouldn't trust Isolde not to muck it all up royally and get possessed herself.

I heard my husband's PC getting that.  He hasn't talked to Alistair since Lothering, left him unhardened, and plans to marry him to Anora and spare Loghain.  His PC is soooooo not worthy to hear that velvety morsel of goodness from Alistair's lips.  And his PC is a DEF, too.  Gives Dalish chicks a bad name.

I don't think I'm ever going to get through a dalish playthrough. I had Lyra to the end, and ended up backtracking to just after Lothering, now I don't want to play her at all. There just...well like has been said, I can't get into it...it's a very light on content origin. She was supposed to be the GW ending to replace my old mage, but I think I'll just replace my old GW ending human mage with the previous version of Caislyn's morph, and run her through Awakening again.

Are you going to warn him that only a hardened Alistair will marry Anora when Logain is spared?

Haha I think I finally have a character that can do that RP wise. Jaina doesn't trust the chantry with  a stamp collection let alone a relic like the Ashes. Like heck she'd let him tell them.

There don't appear to be any non-dwarves living in Orzammar, though. Would it cause problems? Is he allowed to live there?  Will they have to deal with all sorts of crap about it?

I know you want to do that but you'd be surprised just how many people seem to think that that is honestly their only option if they don't want news to get out. Apparently just not killing the dragon or making Genitivi go home and never visiting him to tell him you found the ashes never occurs to them...the only way to solve this problem must be through the murder of a defenseless and quite helpful old man.

This is the funniest thing, but it still makes me sad. Genitivi is amazing. I like to imagine carrying him back to camp and listening to him be all witty and incisive about the crazy (awesome) cultists.

Heh. My first playthrough with Lenya (before she grew into the fierce, more complicated person she is now) was like that. He literally threw himself at her feet, as he showered her with approval in every way possible.

I remember myself thinking: "You really like blonde elf chicks, do you Alistair?"

And dang, was I right with that xD

His travel journals are really cool.  I would never kill the guy.  Kill a wandering philosopher-scholar who's suffering for his research?!

Pshhh, Aidan is a paragon, heir to the throne, ended a blight and became hero of ferelden, and as Kardol so eloquently put it "put an arse in the throne" while beheading her only living sibling in the assembly chamber, killing Branka and the broodmother...I don't think anyone in their right mind would give her crap. Plus, Gorim would  make people just conveniently fall in hot lava if they did:whistle:

My videos about Dalish-specific stuff are meant to show that it really has more than you think.  :)

But I would never tell someone to suffer through a playthrough just because.  It's why I don't sweat not finishing a dwarf or sparing Loghain or whatever.  40 hours a week someone can tell me to do something because they say to do it.  Not on my DAO time.  :wizard:

I always kill the dragon, even if I don't want the chantry going there, in case the urn is needed later by the PC. But I have sent him back to denerim, and not visited him, and still had the chantry up there at the end.
