Does anyone else hate those fanfics where a female Warden turns down Morrigan's ritual but survives because she's pregnant (by Alistair even though the odds of that are ridiculous and they haven't been trying) and so she has the God baby?
*raises hand*
LOL I don't think you get to disapprove on the pregnancy thing considering your PC had twins with him...not just decreased fertility but doubled it?

For all we know they've already tried to comfort the PC and are now trying to enjoy their victory and the PC is the one who is still 'Alistair's dead so I have to be miserable' even a month later.
The love of her life died and she's still mourning him a whole month later? Silly girl!

OK, does anyone in here know how to set tactics for Leliana so she will change from ranged to melee and back?
right hand side of your tactics window, there is a box to check for aggressive, defensive, ranged behaviors

Yeah, but I want her to switch to daggers when surrounded by enemies at close range, and bow for when they are at long range.sylvanaerie wrote...

In Sarah's hypothesis, it is. I don't think it is game.
My point was just, that's not something someone gets past quickly. Sometimes they don't at all.

Well, I can't say I hate that ending I have done it several times, me dying and Alistair. I like drama. But my very first playthrough I didn't have a clue what I was doing, I was a HNF marrying Alistair and told Morrigan to f off because I really thought Riordan would succeed. I was devestated and actually cried when he died for her. I think THAT is the purpose of that ending.
The bit before the sacrifice, yes. So sad and touching. It's more the way his sacrifice is handled afterwards that doesn't quite work for me. No one seems to care. So while I was welling up to watch him give his life for her, that feeling only lasted until Anora started talking and undermining him, then I got mad.
I didn't mean to get that ending. I wanted my warden to sacrifice herself in a blaze of glory for the man she loved.... silly boy, not following orders.

There is a happy ending if you play Awakening after Alistair dies. He comes back from the dead and you run off together.janeym27 wrote...

Ha. Hush you. Do not point out the flaws in my logic.
I know I broke canon, and I know others will hate that. That scenario just bothers me because there is a ritual involved. *shrugs*

Yes, Morrigan's ritual involves more than just making a baby. We know from TC that Warden babies don't have the taint, yet somehow DuranDuranistair was tainted or else Archie wouldn't have been drawn to him.LadyDamodred wrote...

If DuranDuranistair is a "her" instead of a "he," I'm going to have to revise my image. Maybe Bananaramastair or something.

Well, the goddess baby would probably be more of a PattySmythastair, but that doesn't have quite the ring to it.cmessaz wrote...

I'm basing that on the origin character that shows up post-coronation. For, say, Gorim or Cyrion who were already in Denerim then the coronation could have been a week later. But tracking down the DE's origin clan or Fergus would have take time and for Rica to have heard about it and been sent by the Assembly to Denerim? If Dagna's right about it taking two weeks from Orzammar to the Circle Tower and you still need to go a bit farther to hit Denerim, not to mention it probably took more than a day for the Broscas to become warriors and Rica an ambassador...it would probably have to be more than a month for the timing on that to make sense and chances are the coronation took place on the same date no matter which origin you are. And there may have been damage to the palace that needed to be fixed before it was fit to hold a coronation in. Alistair, for one, doesn't seem to think his coronation will be for a few months.AnniLau wrote...

It's understandable that an in-love PC would still be upset but it's slighty more understandable, I think, for the others to have begun to move forward if the coronation was a few weeks or months post-Alistair's death.

Do they just naturally have twins? We only know that two wardens can't have a child by 'natural means' which still leaves the door open for magic finding a solution to the problem. Your best bet would probably be either Avernus or at least using his research although if the mages were tasked with finding an answer that could work, too.LadyDamodred wrote...

Indeed. And here she is in prime "I'm going to take over the woooorld" form. The song is even appropriate to the goddess baby. I actually like this one. LOL

I don't know. They'd traveled and fought together for a year+, and been to hell and back in that time. Even if they didn't always like each other, they'd still built an odd sort of 'family'...I don't see the others moving on all that quickly either.
