Too bad the game didn't allow you to start your own revolution, but what can you do.

Just because I´m excited, do you mean DAO with "the game" or is there a V for Vendetta game?

I hear that Fable III is all about overthrowing a government and installing your own and choosing how to govern. Although the Fable series is not known for its seriousness, the idea is definately interesting.

Thanks for the info, I´ll look for more info about that, seems like an interesting game for me.

Andraste was trying to topple an empire not better the lives of the disenfranchised. If you have a leader you need to topple (like the Orlesian leader during the rebellion or Loghain in game) feel free to violence. You cannot force people to accept making things better for mages and elves and if you're not personally overseeing something then feel free to change the laws drastically but don't expect things to actually chang.

Technically, she did try to better the lives of her people (the Ferelden tribes) and of the elves. Violence was used to free the elves and for the most part, it worked and they got their homeland. Until the elves decided to be the morons that they are and got themselves destroyed again, but that was later.

And he is trying to topple insitutions, whether it is to destroy the Circle / Templars, or destroy the Alienage system.

The fact is the game doesn't allow any of that, so gotta live with it.

I meant Origins.
I don't know if there is a V for Vendetta game. Though it would be fun playing an anarchist terrorist.

Naa, my PC was in love with Alistair (Even dumped Zev and Leli for him!!:crying:).

But that doesn´t mean she can´t have other interests, does it? I mean, not even Alistair is so fascinating you can spend your remaining 30 years drooling over him.

HOUNDS!

Glorious!

Arriving at Ostagar on my HNM and first time I heard Cailan speak that was all it took.  I started giggling maniacally.  I am going to do the same thing when i get to Redcliffe.  I can't help it now.  The application of those dialogues was just TOO clever...Posted Image

Can someone explain to me what the hell this is supposed to be?  I had a Noble Clothing in my inventory, so decided to try it on Leliana to see what it looked like.  Now she's a big yellow banana with  "Do Not Use" written on her dress.

There's some kind of joke in there, I'm sure.

Not all clothing types have appearances defined for all combinations of races and/or genders. Some are male only, some are female only and some are only partially implemented... for these variations, you may get the yellow banana thing or just invisible outfit.

Ah, you know I think the haunted chamberlain might have dropped this so it's probably a dude's outfit.  Ohhh, Alistaaairr...

And that´s what sucks. I mean, you get to choose a king for the dwarfs but can´t free your own people from suppression?

Am I really the only one who finds that a bit ridiculous?

I've spent 17 years drooling over my huband, 8 now as a stay at home wife. I find it pretty exciting.:)

I believe that's the outfit that gets dropped by the Zombie Chamberlain in Redcliffe Castle. I know that one has no female mesh.

I suspect quite a few players would dress Leliana permanently in that now, as a reminder for Alistair, of sorts...

LOL  There you go, I knew there was a joke in there.

Should I leave Leliana as a yellow banana this whole game?  It is so tempting...

Technically, it's not you who chose who is the Dwarven king. It's either Paragon Branka or Caridin. Or they gave you the authority to choose. Other than that, it's not you who choose. You just choose who you owuld like to support.

I don't find it riediculous at all. Thats how the world works.  I've spent 48 years with the reality of it. This is Dark Fantasy, not fluffy bunnies and butterflies.

True.

But in Real Life you probably can´t throw fireballs either, or defeat dragons, or choose a king at all, so that´s not really an argument why it doesn´t work in DAO.

I dunno. I mean, he's going to be overcome by the taint when he's, what? 50ish? And your Warden will be feeling it at roughly the same time (let's face it, they are totally going to the deep roads together when the time comes), and at 50, most men (especially strapping athletic types) still look pretty damn good.

And think of all the stories he'll make up for you, over the years! Not to mention the fact that you'll be rebuilding the order together. I think there is plenty to be getting on with there. ^_^ (my Warden is cool with it. A little annoyed he left her to travel in the epilogue, but at least he came back).

I just tried to see how fast I could go from beginning approval to getting the 'I love you' from him in this PT. Basically, I talked to him in camp, then did his PQ, then talked to him more, then gave him many gifts. Took about 30 mins from leaving Lothering. Turns out, even though he's over 75% approval, he doesn't seem to want to take it any further. Maybe I shouldn't have yelled at him about being king...:?

Technically Andraste was beating foreign invaders back to their homelands in attempt to let her own people live free. Much like Loghain was beating foreign invaders back to Orlais so his people could be free.

The catch with trying to 'free' the mages and/or elves is, the foreign invaders are actually the locals. They can't be forced 'back to their home country' because they are in their home country.

Its an argument as to why you should jsut suck it up and accept thats how the game works. Thats the given reality of it. Whining on the boards about wanting to be queen knowing the lore doesnt' cover it is pointless. You want to whine, why not do so to the writers. Maybe they will enact a change just for you?

Please, not that bullsh!t again. These boards are meant to discuss the game. If you don´t want to do so maybe you shouldn´t be in a Dragon Age forum.

Yes it is. Human nature doesn't change just because of the presence of magic, dragons, ect.
