IDK I can't even play a male pc and dual wield. Then again I won't play a male rogue or a mage either. So I am just weird that way.

And I'm the opposite- I try to go back to warrior, but even DW warrior is impossible for me to play anymore.  I started my HNM out S&S and it made me want to put my eyes out.  Aedan winds up, and I can go get a cup of coffee before he actually hits anything.  The shield bash is sexy, however, I grant you.

I don't play male mages, either, though.  That's probably part of my thing with Anders, that it's just more beefy to chop and smash things than to fry or freeze them.

Tempting.  Very tempting.  *ponders*

The instructions are fairly straight forward.  The only thing is you have to turn it off then respec your character before importing into Awakening or it causes odd thing w/ your skills/talents/class.

If there were some manly robes, but alas.

I played S&S for 5 minutes before throwing things. I couldn't even make it through the origin, it was such a snoozefest. I'll leave the S&Sing to Alistair, and I'll take care of the flamboyant blade-twirling.

I think there was much more than that. That big long pink thing. Alistair. Leliana.
It raises questions. Posted Image

I was like that at first but I had a lot of fun at sword and board with my CE. Maybe because little elves look cute using shield bash and overpower.

Speaking of long things, did you see the Lady of the Forest cutscene from More Options at the Pearl?

I've fallen into such a pattern.  My HNFs are a DW warrior, my elves are an archery rogue, and my mages are, well, mages. Posted Image

So torture is being stuck at work on an incredibly active Ritual Dismemberment Tuesday with nothing to post but repeats.

My Dalish is an archer. And yes, my mages stay mages. I don't like AW.

That's a butched knife, dear.  And if you're having trouble telling...

Seri:  Yeah.  I might try it eventually.  We shall see.

No I didn't. And I am interested.
Is it posted somewhere?

A butched knife you say? What coud Leliana possibly do with it, as to make Alistair look at it with such unease and yet so much interest?

I tried AW, and honestly, I didn't get it.  The time it took from activating my spells, to grabbing my sword, then sheathing my sword to activate another spell....it grew bothersome.  Plus, staffs boost spellpower and magic, no?  So the whole AW concept is lost on me.

I'm glad I made Idun a mage and took shapeshifter, even if it's not very efficient as mage specs go.  Sometimes the RP is more important than gameplay.  Though I still can't make myself play a warrior any more, for love or money.  They don't get past level 12 or so.  My DNF was the last victim to such an attempt.

Lets just say the Lady of the Forest uses her ability to control nature to the fullest.

*butcher*  My bad.

And nothing, unless she wants to be on the receiving end of the much bigger knife on Lya's back.  Posted Image

I'm having problems playing a rogue. I wish that I would have made Ron Mahariel a warrior, because I'm so used to it now. My Big RP Concept is that he's a ranger, so that sort of precludes warriordom.

If it weren't for base game robes, I would RP a male mage in a heartbeat. I love that Anders is able to stand back and just tear stuff up without ever laying a finger on anyone. Of course, I prefer less beefy in general (and wish we had the option to make the males in the game less musclebound), so I guess that's why I would go for a mage type over a melee guy.

There is a mod that allows you to cast spells without sheathing the weapons. But to me if I want to be a warrior then I'd be a warrior.

Not torture for us, since your shots are always cool enough for repeats.

Yeah but it's to girlie for me. Sorry don't hit me!

If you think Alistair killing stuff can ever be girly, I don't know what to tell ya.

I keep waiting to see shots of these super-sexy shield decaps!  I'm perfectly willing to enjoy S&S vicariously so long as I don't have to watch or play it in-game.

I'm gonna keep an eye out as I replay my S&S HNF.  So far, nothing yet.  Which irks me to no end, you have no idea.

ive never seen a shield decap in all my games...just a sort of finishing move where they shield bash, blood sprays and the opponent drops

Rogue was fun for me to play. I love Ranger, and being able to pick locks at anytime. Leliana and (especially) Zev are full of suck when it comes to lockpicking, when you first get them. Think of all the leather gloves and blank vellums I've left behind!! The humanity!!!

It's worth it, especially if you haven't seen the Fade cutscene he made.
