Pshh, he won't dump my mage. He only dumps you if you let him. Caislyn isn't going to let that happen. Though, she needs hardened a bit herself before then.

But you're siding with the demon.  Is that something a devout Andrastian would do?  At the time you propose it you don't know the curse can't be lifted.  In fact, the spirit tells you she thinks that it can be and she wants you to bring Zathrian to talk to her, so she is more reasonable than your PC.

Revenge against Zathrian I could understand, but since the werewolves admit that Zathrian cursed them because of terrible crimes committed against elves, you're just perpetuating the cycle.   I still don't see how a reasoning person could do this, and I'm back to the murderous sociopath thing.

He abandonned Ferelden in the middle of the Blight and right when we know that the Archdemon is mobalising his horde (deep road cutscene). That's deserting Ferelden.

And seeing how the epilogue goes perfectly well for my Cousland and Anora and how not one noble, not even Eamon, ended up caring for the lost Thereins. I say the decision was a pretty good one.

Nope. Loghain pulled his forces back because he wanted to strengthen Ferelden's borders with Orlais, as the Orlesians are amassing 4 legions of Chevaliers, which is double the number they had at the Battle of the River Dane.

It was a strategic and miltiary action to fend off a perceieved threat, which turned out to be not as urgent as he thought it was.

And once again, I never denied the idea that you coudl executeLoghain with this in mind. It's valid. I simply don't see it that way.

BTW, Loghain is on Buffy! I heard his voice on it last night when I was watching to older episodes.

Loghain had an birds eye view of the battle field, and from talking to him, listening to banter, and reading devs comments, I believe that the battle was unwinnable. Go watch the cutscene that is a huge arse number os spawn on the field, Loghain would have to have been hiding with a huge army to have taken the field. Even with a victory, many more lives would have been lost. However we will never truly know what happened there and why.



Also Alistair abandoned the Grey Wardens and left for his own reasons, he loses points there. Grey Wardens have to fight the blight no matter what, and with who ever. Running away in a childish fit is not being a grey warden, it is being a child. However the devs have said through D. Gaider that Alistair would come to regret it. So in short no matter what the Landsmeet is FUBAR!

He does seem to have a knack for abandoning chunks of the nation, though. An army and king here, city elves there... considerable number of banns who didn't agree with him too, wonder how long it'd take him to run out of people to sacrifice for the nebulous "good of Ferelden", really.

No no, I mean what he says to you about the Grey Wardens having to make an exception for him means that if you're ruler or chancellor, it's deserting the GWs in some fashion.

Which is just how my HNF saw it, and she was glad to tell the order where to stick it.  I suppose she deserved execution then.  Just try it, you stinking Anderfelsian cheeseheads!

Agreeing to disagree is always the mantra I use whenver I get into these kinds of debates. It's broad enough that one could look at things from very different perspectives and still be as valid as the others.

And I am looking foward to Loghain being a Quarian Admiral in ME3. And Morrigan is going to be a Quarian Admiral too. One that I will probably kill as she represents a threat to humanity's interests

My mage becomes mistress. That is the only one I will do this with however. You have to harden him and talk him into keeping you on the side.
