Pshh, he won't dump my mage. He only dumps you if you let him. Caislyn isn't going to let that happen. Though, she needs hardened a bit herself before then.
Are you just imagining this or is it actually possible in the game? If it is, how?
I have played through like 10+ times so, no I'm really not imagining it. If you've hardened him during his personal quest, you can tell him "noone can make a king do anything he doesn't want to do" followed by "Being a king isn't a punishment. It's all in the dialog choices right after the landsmeet. And he will keep the relationship. And no, you do not HAVE to choose chancellor as your boon either as far as I know, but Caislyn will. If there's going to be a mage advisor in court it's darned well going to be her not Wynne...lol
Besides she's better for the job, she can be both healer and body guard.

Lady D you will have to link these, I don't have the latest one, just up to the one with Howe.

A hardened Alistair won't dump you if when he comes to break up, the first thing you select it 'No one can tell the king what to do.'
This was actually horribly confusing for my friend b/c she picked other options first, and then that one. Alistair gave the 'We'll stay together, yay! dialogue' and she thought she was all set. Then she tried to sexytime him and it was a no go.
The other options switch the romance flag off. Personally, I think the 'No one can tell the king' option should not show up again if you choose one of them. My friend can't be the only one this has happened to and it is extremely confusing.

Ithat shot of her, its where she is talking about her mother isn't it?
I forget what she's saying, but its when you first meet her in the wilds. I love it becuase its the perfect pic to add dialogue/thought bubbles. You know, things like "IKoP"
Prove it
lol I am smiling and blushing like an idiot.

No no, I mean what he says to you about the Grey Wardens having to make an exception for him means that if you're ruler or chancellor, it's deserting the GWs in some fashion.cmessaz wrote...
He tries to talk you into being consort?
Which is just how my HNF saw it, and she was glad to tell the order where to stick it. I suppose she deserved execution then. Just try it, you stinking Anderfelsian cheeseheads!
You know, most of my endings include telling the Anderfelsian cheeseheads to ****** off.
This is in place of the post-LM "we need to talk" dialogue that happens if you're in a romance with him. He'll say he needs good people in his court and wants you to join him there, and if you ask "what about the Wardens?" he talks about how if they can make an exception for him, they can make one for you.

I wanted to marry him with Anora this time, but I think i´ll try to get that ending. i just hope it is possible for elves too and not only for human mages

Is it friend only? cuz none of my romances ever got that.

If you didn't make yourself consort I assume. My HN always makes herself consort. He doesn't say this to a non-Cousland?Addai67 wrote...

It's there for everyone. That's why we kept saying yesterday you don't HAVE to marry him to still be in a romance with him.

Ah, so this is if you're friends with him, then? I really need to finish off a friendship playthrough. Alistair is just too adorable and I keep going back to chars that are romancing him.

Yes. Not sure if he says it to a neutral-hostile Warden, too. Probably not, since he wouldn't want to keep you around. And you always get -3 no matter what you tell him, even "I wouldn't have it any other way." If he's not going to be getting some later on, Alistair is apparently a little tetchy post-Landsmeet.LadyDamodred wrote...

Oh, also, if you tell him at post-coronation that you plan to travel for a time, he'll say "I don't suppose the Grey Wardens could stop you." So all those PCs running around looking for Morrigan or going back to Par Vollen with Sten are off the reservation.

It just pissed me that everything didn´t go as planned. When he broke up my elf mage wanted to kill the Archdemon, and guess what? He didn´t let her......
