Well if he doesn't learn everyones a dick he makes a sad sad king. Yeah the wording in that line sucks, but he's grateful for it afterwards, and he makes a good king because of it.

I have never been broken up with by Alistair, I don't know how you can accidentally broken up with by him. My first playthrough was as a mage who didn't harden him (that playthrough was unspoiled so I didn't know anything about hardening). She saw that he had no interest in being king, so she made Anora queen and went to Weisshaupt fortress with Alistair.

Of course, I used one of my saves to get broken up with on purpose, but I reloaded and became queen.

It just pissed me that everything didn´t go as planned. When he broke up my elf mage wanted to kill the Archdemon, and guess what? He didn´t let her......

I found that really easy to rp around, especially if you don't go to see his sister right away.

That´s all fine advise for now, but on my first playthrough I didn´t know that yet, I always did what I thought was best without consideration for the consequences which I didn´t know yet.

No no, I mean what he says to you about the Grey Wardens having to make an exception for him means that if you're ruler or chancellor, it's deserting the GWs in some fashion.

Which is just how my HNF saw it, and she was glad to tell the order where to stick it.  I suppose she deserved execution then.  Just try it, you stinking Anderfelsian cheeseheads! 

When does he say this?

You know, most of my endings include telling the Anderfelsian cheeseheads to ****** off.

This is in place of the post-LM "we need to talk" dialogue that happens if you're in a romance with him.  He'll say he needs good people in his court and wants you to join him there, and if you ask "what about the Wardens?" he talks about how if they can make an exception for him, they can make one for you.

Is it friend only? cuz none of my romances ever got that.

Friend only, yes.  What I meant is, you get the "we need to talk" dialogue if you're in a romance with him, and the "I'd make a much better king if I had good people at my side" talk if you're not.

Doesn't she say to kill him at the beginning of the game? How loyal are you to Morrigan that you blantantly ignored your lady love?

I've never done the break-up with Alistair either.  I just can't do it, too dang sad, especially after hearing you all talk about it. I accidently clicked on the we need to end this line once n the expression on his face when I said that just put me into instint , I'm glad it was a mistake n I reloaded lmao.  One of these time's I'll have to try it but it won't be for a long long while lol.
