Alistair, post-coronation... and/or Alistair gush thread (Origins/Awakening Spoilers)
Is that why you're taking the Alistair criticism so personally? I mean, it's not as if I'm criticising your husband. I hope you don't think that. Really I don't see why people are getting so worked up *shrug*
By criticizing the character that this very thread is here to enjoy, and picking apart traits you see as unmanly in him, you are still insulting any one of us that have those same traits, or find them to be attractive in others. And you harp on Alistair's "weakness" all the friggin time. You don't see us sitting here bashing Morrigan do you? no. Have we gone to the Morrigan thread and posted horrible photoshop images of her face in mockery? No. Yet you seem to think it's just fine to hover in here and bash the character in it's own gush thread, and frankly it's getting old.
You refuse to listen to anyone that outright proves that you are making an incorrect characterisation, you just keep harping on your flawed vision of the character.

I like this line too. <3 It is really cute when he asks you to the tent though...
Thankfully, I have a mix of F!PCs so I can do it both ways!!And I can't help but think it is flattering to him- even if he at the approval level where he refuses- that the Warden asked him. Maybe that's part of what he means when he says no one ever made him feel that way.

How does he gain confident in HIS leadership skills if he's never leading? He's getting a better idea of what to do from watching you even though he doesn't get an opportunity to put it into practice? No the point that you REFUSE to get, is that he GAINS confidence in his leadership THROUGHOUT THE GAME.

And because we've had this discussion dozens of times.. and because the type of guy (usually they're guys) who brings it up just doesn't get it and probably never will. Which is fine. The game devs are doing what they need to do to make men buy games- make them think their game avatars are the BAMFest of the BAMF.Sandtigress wrote...

Attitude Reflects ledership. A good leader teaches leadership through his actions. Soldiers aren't taught leadership as privates. They learn it from good NCO's, by the time it's their turn, they're usually ready.

She's bit younger than that i think. Ferelden was liberated 30 years earlier and the noblewoman who employed Leliana's mother moved back to Orlais some time after that. Leliana was only born afterwards. So 25-26 would be more likely. (the Toolset gives 26 as her age but that like with other characters doesn't indicate very much)Kryyptehk wrote...
I gave up on trying to find a replacement for Leliana, because either she looks beautiful but not like a woman nearing her 30s

Bad choice of words, but she wouldn't look like a teenager, which a lot of mods seem to try and make her. I'm not saying she should have tons of wrinkles or whatever, but I'd like a more mature face. Without the scrunchiness, as I said before.

Someone should put kmeade's name in one of the corners, so we know who took the pic. I didn't know who took it until you said something about it.

Not really no, not unless you interpret that as a bad thing. Obviously Alistair's traits are endearing to his target audience... that being youKryyptehk wrote...

At least it isn't taking place in the Alistair thread. And people do invade the Zev thread to insist he's a rapist and/or too sleazy and they don't understand why people like him.Kryyptehk wrote...
What I think is funny is the fact that the people in the Ali thread are the most light-hearted and take the many jokes about Alistair in stride. Yet, when a troll comes in and repeatedly bashes a character we like and we finally tell him to STFU, we are the ones who are crazy? Heck, we don't even make fun of any characters in this thread, while the people in the Zevran thread pick on Alistair all the time (not complaining, just pointing it out)
