Top of Page...another Brothers in Arms pic. I'm really enjoying this concept of RPing. Alistair makes a wonderful friend as much as a romance.
He makes a better friend imo, tbh. He seems much less vulnerable then at least. I actually like having him as a foil for my PC. Out of curiosity what kind of char is your Cousland?
Well he didn't want to be a GW. Duncan had to drag him away from his family. He grew up with other young boys his age who saw him as "Teryn Cousland's son" and didn't have any really close friends so Alistair is the first man he's gotten close to outside of Fergus (who I imagined spent many an afternoon tormenting his younger brother as older brothers do). They can relate as equals instead of nobleman and commoner (He doesn't know about Alistair's father yet).
He was very devoted to his father and took his death pretty hard so he can relate to Alistair's loss of the Duncan and the GW's and I played him as sympathetic when Al and him chatted about Duncan. I chose the STFU option to the Guardian.
He hasn't had any serious romances in his life (I chose the 'no fewer than three' when Fergus asked about women). He bedded Morrigan for the fling and when she pulled the love card on him they decided to end it mutually and is going slower with Leliana, none of that crazy love stuff.
He will be marrying Anora at the end if I can stomach it.
Hah, sorry for the late reply, had some AFKnees to deal with!
That's actually not
all that disimilar to how I played my Cousland (minus the romance part), although he's pretty cocky and can be kind of a dick. Mine didn't want to be a GW either and is more concerned with finding his brother (took all the "I need to find Fergus" options in Ostagar, etc) but slowly warmed to the idea over time.
I have him butting heads with Alistair on almost everything but they have common ground on his grief over Duncan and my PC's over his family. I like the dynamic of playing off their differences though. Some of the banter can be really funny, especially when you ask Alistair about his upbringing and get to threaten him with "violence."

And people actually think I hate Alistair. Pfft!
