Mostly in the Tower. It sort of added to the sense of heightened insanity that everyone kept thinking they recognized my Dalish mage who had never been there before. Kind of lulzy.laradenton wrote...
I'm a bit off topic, but I'd like to try a Dalish mage and I was wondering if there are any oddities that I might encounter.Addai67 wrote...
I know exactly what I want to write, but the work week sucks my brain out.
Generally the game will recognize you as an elf/Dalish, though you should still get some mage-specific stuff. Actually I think it has worked really, really well. Jowan recognized her as an elf, not as his friend from the Tower, which could have been immersion-breaking (though Alistair did say "he's your friend"). The big bummer was that I didn't get Teagan's mage flirtation.

It doesn't sound too bad, I think I'll give it a try. Thank you.Addai67 wrote...

"Oh, uh... oh. You don't look like a mage. That is, how interesting."
And in her case, I had put her in Dalish armor with daggers, so he was right.

Re Dalish mage stuff: I did get Alistair's super-sweet mage lines in Ostagar. I was so glad.

He says this particular line to all women who flirt with him though. It's the "I can think of many good reasons to risk such danger" that mages specifically get.

Unfortuneately I don't have that line snapshotted anymore (blew up my games) so I had to make due. I prefer the mage flirts...and the next time I get Neria in Redcliffe I will be getting a pic of that line too.
The BannHammer is SOOOO smooth

heeey read my further post! My elves are ok with it, I just don't like the whole human female Zevran thing. And most of my pcs are human.
Funnily the same goes for me. All my human PCs killed Zevran without ever talking to him.
But then, all of them were a bit murderous anyways and wiped out the Dalish, and in fact it was only one:P:P:P

LOL How ironic that I took it to enshrine my Pounce annoyance and it's being used to promote his glories.Sandtigress wrote...

Dalish arcane warriors just feel so right, IMO. It makes sense as to why they'd have weapons training from the get-go. I've never been able to comfortably play an AW from the tower, I just imagine them being pretty awful when it comes to any sort of physical fighting.
I imagine at the circle, Caislyn trained on weapons, and physical prowess with the Templars. Which, is much better than the dipsticks practicing FIRE spells in the library...lol

Well I think it is sort of the logical choice to kill an assassin who tries to kill you. So I decided to act rational, at least as future Queen of Ferelden:police:
Usually my PCs don´t:devil:

Arcane Warriors don´t have any meelee combat training, in fact. They use their magic instead.

My future queen figured if he was going to die, he might as well do it fighting the darkspawn. She also felt bad for him. :x
Edit: It's actually a good thing he shows up so early. By the end of the game, he wouldn't make it.
