How is it more dangerous than entropy, spirit schools, primal schools? Again, these are not hundreds of mages flouncing about the tower carrying weapons full time.

That's not really the point.  Alistair says when describing templar skills that "compared to anyone else I'm just a guy in a metal suit."  Teaching mages to handle themselves in melee combat makes them MUCH more dangerous to templars than the ordinary robe wearer who only has spells (which they can "disrupt") to rely on.  You do recognize that don't you?

It doesn't seem plausable for the templars to encourage that, even on a small scale.

I didnt intend to romance Morrigan she just got interested in me after I asked about her shapeshifting powers and how she grew up...I don't know how it happened. At least I know how to avoide Leliana's triggers.

Did you pick the "tie her to a flagpole and tickle her" line?  I love that one :D

Wait, what?  When does this come up?

Are there any poets in here? I'm thinking about writing a poem and I have little to no experience in writing poetry. How do you come up with the first line or get inspiration?

I think everyone has their own unique approach. But in classes they teach you to just start writing, even if you feel like it's rubbish. Usually after the first page of rubbish, you'll find something that starts to flow, or a line that inspires you and sends you in the right direction. There are so many different types of poetry, and it really is about evoking something of meaning to you.

A favorite little poem I have (not one of mine) is:

You fit into me
like a hook and eye
A fish hook
An open eye

You get that option when she asks you your opinion about her shapeshifting skills.  I <3 her reaction.

Right, that's what I was thinking- when she asks "am I an unnatural abomination to be put to the torch?"

I also love her come-on line, "I'm evil and I need to be punished."  LOL  I Posted Image Morrigan.

I'm not talking EVERY mage in the tower. It's not so omgimpossibl that SOME mages can be taught the Arcane Warrior specialization, IN the tower under strict supervision. One or two mages is not going to slaughter a squad of templars and escape, in a controlled training environment. seriously, templars still have the power here.

What would be the point of teaching mages to fight with weapons? If they need a guy with a sword they'll go teach a non-mage how to use it so they don't waste valuable magical talent on swinging a pointy object. And the Chantry doesn't like mages leaving the Tower, especially not for fighting. Besides, what's more useful? Long-range and possibly mutliple-opponent-damaging attacks or trying to hack someone to death?

And I thought the Arcane Warrior specialization was lost to time and you can only recover it because you found that convenient ancient spirit sealed in a gem. I think they make it pretty clear that people don't know how to use that anymore as it was an ancient elven thing long forgotten.

Is that Alistair?  I may do a game where I use the goofiest morphs there are.  And that would definitely be my Alistair!

Edit: I will say it's better than anything I could come up with so perhaps I shouldn't talk.  Or type.  Or whatever.

No no no, see, she remember finding the vial in her former life, aka your last charcter who found the vial. So she used her wiles to get Cullen to teach her to use a sword and stuff. It's all very complex.

If that's such an issue why not just wait and spec her for it after the Brec forrest?  If you don't mind hand-waving that's fine to.  I mean I don't think anybody personally cares how you play one way or another.  We're just pointing out the problems with it based on the canon storyline...
No idea why you'd take that personally.

Jess, since it's your RP, you can't suck at it! The mages and templars can feel/do whatever you feel is plausible in your own RP.

And your AW is your SH, right? So she's a good girl. She could've had a templar who befriended her, and when she asked for lessons in swordplay he liked her enough and saw her talent, and wanted to teach her. There don't have to be general fighting lessons for mages, it could be just a select few or even just your girl.

There's a lot of novels where a girl gets training as a warrior in a time when women aren't even supposed to pick up a weapon, because some warrior sees their aptitude and likes them (likes them as a daughter, friend, lover, etc).

So I don't think your girl learning how to fight at the circle is any great stretch of imagination. There's always a way to RP it.

Depends on the class.  I'm partial to 'violent' myself!

"JUST CALL ME THE REAPER! AHAHAHAHAHA!"... Good stuff.

Just stay away from suave whatever you do!

Edit:
More Morrigan!
