If Twilight is as terrible as everyone says it is, why is it so popular? I don't get it. But then again, I don't get a lot of things that others consider entertainment.

Fffffffuuuuu--:crying:
That is pretty much exactly how I pictured my character too
:crying:
And her lips moving at the end? Oh god. I can just imagine her saying 'Please don't leave me, I love you...'
Going off to knock him out and see how it plays for me.
The books get successively better after the first one...and then you get book seven which sucked. Still, the characters and world she created lend themselves quite easily to some amazing fanfiction but you two aren't really into that, right? Similarly, I have found some amazing Twilight fanfiction, partcularly the works of HM Grayson. Of course, a lot of time there is a great deal of cynacism where the authors try to realistically depict the consequences of the events in the books and I know you said that annoyed you, Addai.yukidama wrote...

No, but I have a pretty sensitive sniffer for vapid stupidity. And I won't just finish a book or movie to finish it, if I feel like it's wasting my time.Sarah1281 wrote...
Presumably for the same reason reality TV is. I mean, I think shows like Jersey Shore say a lot about what is wrong with the world. I take it you've never read it? You're lucky.Addai67 wrote...

Don't anyone kil me, but I tossed Harry Potter after about a half hour with the first book.
I liked Harry Potter... up until I turned 14 and realized how much I thought it sucked
It's from the 'sacrifice for all' mod but it got included into the romance one, pretty much by accident. It's dialogue option on the fort roof. Has a low check on cunning and allows to trick Alistair into letting you take the killing blow even if in love with him.cmessaz wrote...

What's so good and romantic about all the stalking, literal inability to live without each other, possessiveness, jealousy, vapidness, his attempting to isolate her from her friends and family (and kidnapping her), and his burning desire to kill her? I just don't get it...Tirigon wrote...

Imo it´s quite good. However, it f*cks up vampires. Vampires are supposed to be BADASS. I want my vampires to be invulnerable, immotal killer machines who drink virgin blood for breakfast and do all kind of awesome stuff.
In Twilight, they´re more like suicidal vegans:sick:
But except for that it is quite a good love story.

So you have to stop thinking in order to enjoy it? That would explain a lot. Tragically, I can't do that. It doesn't matter if it sucks, I'd still end up thinking about it. Actually, I probably do that more if it sucks because there's so much to pick apart...Tirigon wrote...

Well wanting to kill each other is quite romantic, isn´t it? Kind of a Gothic Romance or so...
Well I don´t know. The plot is ... not exactly interesting.... but I found it pleasant to read, somehow. It´s not a great work of literature, but rather something you can read without having to think.
With good books I tend to get emotionally involved and sometimes have to stay an entire night awake and all or feel like killing someone (if I read about rape, for example).
With Twilight you can just have a bit of fun and then move on. It´s a nice change sometimes.
Yup, in Alistair's dialogue file. If character's cunning is high enough it should show up as an extra where you normally get the lines for "Wait this is crazy!" etc.Lady Jess wrote...

I think this is probably the best combination. Alistair in love with your PC, followed by Alistair as your PC's best friend.
I'll be over here, crying.

It doesn't replace any of existing lines, just adds one extra to selection. And aye, it's actually quite cruel thing to do to him when you think of itLadyDamodred wrote...
I still had the 'wait, this is crazy line'. It must replace another. And oh, I felt so bad tricking him and then punching him.
