Yeah, that isn't clear either. You guys really don't see how this could be a bad thing? What I mean is, not just the taint thing, but we are talking about the soul of a god in a child raised by Morrigan! You know, lets killemallandbedonewithit Morrigan?!Lady Jess wrote...

We do actually. It's a child with the soul of an old god. The taint is cleansed. She tells you that, and I believe DG confirmed it.

Why wouldn't he? He'll break up with you when he's King if you don't since he's engaged now and he doesn't want you to have to be his mistress because he doesn't think that's fair to you. If Loghain's alive then that's still true and now he can't look past Loghain being alive.Tirigon wrote...

But for now...
That's what you get when you say no to Morrigan.
They both deserve it.
You´re so cold:crying:
Appreciate the sacrifice they made for Ferelden!
By the way, why does Alistair break up with you when you marry him with Anora and recruit Loghain?
Except...not that at all as he'd rather die than let you die. So basically the question is: would he rather die than let Loghain become a Warden? Yes. Yes, I think he would.I think he would, at least if he´s in love with your PC.
Or if he would rather see his love die than to accept Loghain for a week or so, then he´d be an ass. We don´t think Alistair is an ass, right?

So, besides the pentagram, what is a good witch symbol? I'm changing my avatar to a Morri (or a artistic representation of her) avatar and I wanted to put something witchy on it. I thought of Hecate's Wheel, but it doesn't really look right with the pic. Any suggestions?
I don't know if its in Wicca but that symbol from Charmed? the sort of triangle, power of three thing?

Well, we know what Morrigan wants us to know.

But what does that even mean? Does it have the memories of the old god? The powers of the old god? What was the old god like before it was tainted? Could it become an Archdemon again if it becomes tainted during it's life? What does Morrigan and/or Flemeth plan to do with the child?Lady Jess wrote...

*shrugs* I think it's worse if there's only one warden left in Ferelden with Darkspawn still on the loose.

Maybe. Probably. And what is worse, you do it knowing that you're being manipulated by Flemeth. That is going to be even more apparent for my current character, but she's going to do it anyway. You don't know what's going to happen with the god baby, or even if the ritual will work at all, but a chance to live is a chance to live.cmessaz wrote...
Sooooo, no one here thinks creating a demon baby is a bad thing?

And if you believe the Chantry at all, the Old Gods were enemies of the Maker... so that's not good.

Ooooooh I see. So now I'm even angrier. After the Loghain battle he could have had the common decency to pull me to the side and say "hey, this is what happens when archi dies. Lets feed Loghain to him, eh?"
I think he would, at least if he´s in love with your PC.

Although like I said upthread, if you were to have that discussion at all, then the question of why you'd conscript Loghain of all people- and only Loghain- comes up. And that would break the whole rather artificially constructed narrative crisis of the game.

But they just import more from Orlais anyway so that's not really as big of a problem. Besides, if Alistair's going to be King then there will still (at most) really only be one Warden in Ferelden.Lady Jess wrote...

It's not a demon baby, it's an Old God baby, if what Morrigan said is true.
Having a child of mine with the soul of an old God and what I would assume a vast aount of power capable of shaping the world according to his / her will?
I could think of worse things.
Besides, Morrigan promised she is going to teach the kid to respect "that from which it came", which I can only assume refers to the father. And his testicles.

My story is different each time, too, but in smaller ways. I just don't see the point of killing one of the Wardens off. To me, it feels pointless not to do the DR. Game over, story over, what's so interesting about that?cmessaz wrote...
Yes, see once again this is the difference between the way I play and the way others play. I see things from a different perspective every time, and have a different story each playthrough. I don't see how having the same ending over and over would be fun. I kill Alistair frequently (with Archi anyway) as well as myself. It depends on how I rp. So there is no right or wrong here.
I kind of feel the same about not making Alistair king. It is much more dramatic to have the Warden King than just to have yet another Grey Warden who was once a bastard prince.

I do. That's why he's drunk in my canon game. I could have married him off to Anora, but if there's a possibility of tracking Alistair down afterwards to make amends, I want to keep that door open. It's extremely doubtful that will even be addressed when there's more stuff to develop for DA sequels so in my mind, that's my RP story of what happened after the credits. I feel bad about how he left at Landsmeet, but not about him being a drunk because my character didn't pour the gin down his throat -- that's all him. If Loghain can get a chance at redemption, why not Alistair, too? I'm sure he knows that he left at a very bad time -- he can try to turn his life around later. Sometimes you gotta lose someone to save them. There isn't any way to have Alistair without doing the dark ritual. Damned if you do/don't. I don't think anything good can come out of the ritual.cmessaz wrote...

Plus my dwarf thinks that the sooner all old gods are dead, the better. Five down, two to go.

Of course, all the difference between the Old God and a demon may just be, the Old Gods have more power than your average Fade guy. Beyond the fact Tevinter people worshipped them and that their actions might've originated the darkspawn and the Blights, we don't exactly know much about their nature.KnightofPhoenix wrote...

I think it's a plot hole. I try not to look at it too hard.
