(I have one US ending, but I was going to import her into Awakening and be all tah dah, but she romanced Zevran and he wasn't there so she's D.O.A. until further notice. Even so, I doubt Loghain would want to hold her lifeless body.) I can't handle that kind of heartbreak -- it's like watching the Titanic where Kate watches Leo sink to the bottom of the ocean. I remember my first ever playthrough with my AW human mage, and when we were just about to head to Orzammar I thought... I bet he won't marry me... and then the rest of the playthrough was me just dreading the point where he was going to break up with me so he could be king. I could SEE it coming and I was resolutely not looking at any forums or cheats (I always do my first playthrough of a game blind) so I didn't know how to keep him or not make him king. It was heartbreaking, but the only time it happened. I reloaded that mage and we ran off to be wardens together. .

Screw the iceberg, you already hit that. Now you're at the rail of the ship as it sinks, getting ready to stand on that rail and hold your breath when it plunges into the sea.

Know which scene really gets to me? That old married couple lying in bed together in each other's arms when the water breaks through the windows and floods the room. This is why I'm so pissed at Lost with the way they handled Sun and Jin's reunion. SO PISSED.

Anora all happy she had the throne, my companions with their *shrug* attitude about it NOTHING said...just a little throwaway comment by Wynne. Yes the US where Al sacrificed himself and wouldnt let me do it was my favorite ending. It was so romantic and sad and shocking and infuriating all at the same time.

I'm actually thinking about going back to before I hardened Alistair with my Noble PC, I wanted a queen ending but I really don't want that anymore and Alistair is now so serious...its scary

LOL On Roland the first time I did the DR myself, US AND WC endings all.  He was the one with the most endings.  My canon is he lived though, did the DR and took Gwaren for his boon but when asked what he was doing he said "staying in Denerim".  I couldn't let Ali try to deal with Anra all by himself so I stuck around.

Tori- I frequently make Alistair unhardened king when my pc is queen. I find Alistair a nicer person unhardened. I when I am not queen I harden him if he will be king, unless I am going for the sad tragic breakup.

I nearly never play a game more than once, so my characters "branched"  and went backwards a couple of times before I picked a cannon playthrough. This game really is worth playing from beginning to end several times, though, which is part of its appeal, imo.
