Sorry if I'm crashing your thread, but I don't really see a problem for someone to truly love Zev and still be a taumatized person who can do harsh things. In my experience some people with a semi-criminal or traumatized background can react to this by treating people very differently. People they know and care for they can treat as good as ordinary people, but people they don't know are not "real" and don't matter.

For such a person experiencing true love and telling Alistair that people are jerks (meaning everyone else) is not really a conflict. Just like being loyal to you mate, while stealing from an old lady isn't a conflict either.

My original thought was she'd start out using Alistair (don't hit me!!), or at least think she's using him, but start developing the urge for more. The they meet Zev, who has so much in common with her it's scary, they get closer. Then (assuming I can trigger the wynne dialog with uldred revealing Jaina's a blood mage) have Alistair (rp obviously, not gonna happen in the game itself) walk away from what's been started due to being lied to, on top of finding out what she really is. Leaving Zev, as the one person that will accept her for exactly who and what she is and build from there.  What would be really convenient is if the timing worked out that Alistair confronted me about Zev just after the tower.  I just don't know how it would work in practice.

That's definitely helpful. I hadn't thought about it that way, and it will actually work with the above, making her absolutely hateful with Alistair and Wynne.  Neutral with Leliana maybe, and friendlier with Zev, Sten, and Morrigan.

seriously ladies, though some of the stuff posted here will have me scuttling back to Tapster's in need of a nerve-calming mead or three, I do actually like Alistair.

Write Aeducan/Alistair fanfic and everything; pretty much all the k!meme ali/auducan is mine, give or take, and I'm trying to write a post Amaranthine story post Awakenings, but Dead Duster Walking sucks my freetime away mostly.

I should have clarified, sorry.  I meant the one where one of you dies killing the AD.  My bad.  I've seen human/elf, but not dwarf yet.  Unless I missed it.
