Ohh, maybe the modder didn't test it on elves since he/she didn't figure many elves would wear it. Dalish- yes that is def a stretch, but my Surana was an Andrastian.Lady Jess wrote...
It only seems to do that on Elves for me (haven't tried Dwarf, it just doesn't suit) but Lyra tried it on, I just couldn't keep it on her. It looks nice, but I can't seem to wrap my head around Dalish wearing chantry symbols.
I really wish I could make myself use it and find a good rp reason why Lyra would but I just keep drawing a blank. The best I can come up with is so that the humans see her as less of a "barbarian" and makes dealing with them easier.

Well, it could always be explained simply by her being practical enough to recognize good piece of armour when she sees it, and not getting all hang up over some silly symbol the original maker put on it?Lady Jess wrote...

It's the chat group for the Swooping is Bad LiveJournal group. A couple of us hang out in there - soignee and Lady D, and me sometimes in the evening when my thesis isn't eating me alive... bunch of great, crazy ladies in there. I've limited myself to twitter for now though.

...that's a very good point. It does offer more protection than regular leather. So often the simple solution hides from me.

Well, the Dalish are very particular about their symbols. And there's no way a Dalish could hide her tattoo so as to blend in, though most people have never seen a Dalish elf so maybe they wouldn't know one elf from another. Lloyd certainly didn't, though I wouldn't use him as a marker of Fereldan cleverness.tmp7704 wrote...

Aha. Twitter has defied me. But I don't think I'm a tweet kind of person anyway. I can remember the time that a very extraverted roommate taught me how to make small talk. A light went on and I realized, "ohh, you just say what you're thinking." LOL Hurrah for introverts.Sandtigress wrote...

You know, I was thinking about this before - my Dalish trying to get into a city unseen, and it would be pretty impossible. Even if she could hide the fact that she'd move differently having been born to forests and plains rather than a city, the tattoos on her face would be REALLY hard to disguise without wearing a mask or a cloak with a hood drawn really far down, and either of those would be terribly suspicious.

I don't have much experience with that, but from what i've heard renaming the cutscenes can make them go bonkers. It's because one of the files (either .cut or the .cub) has inside references to the name of the other one. So if you rename but don't change that reference to match it can no longer find the right thing.cmessaz wrote...
Tmp, any idea why renaming BSC Zesty makes the scene go all loopy?
There might be some solutions in the Toolset forum section how to go about that, not sure.

Fair enough, I don't do LJ myself, just ocassionaly pop on IRC.
As someone told me yesterday, this is a safe space.

I don't think most people care that I don't include it anyway so it's not that big of deal. Her mild scene did just fine, it's medium and zesty that are giving me a headache.tmp7704 wrote...

Honestly if I could get the stupid elven warden armor to show up in my inventory she'd wear it. But nooooo it doesn't want to play nice.

I never have a problem making a female dwarf (although sometimes if it's a noble and I don't want to use the same hairstyle then I have a problem finding an appropriate-looking one due to lack of mods) but male dwarves...I can't make them look decent without a beard.TotoroTori wrote...

I can't use that, either, since it conflicts with Forgotten and my husband really likes that armor.Lady Jess wrote...

What about Serissia's Warden light armor? It's looked really cute on the elven PCs I've seen shots of it with. I'll have to check the str requirement, but maybe I would put Idun in it, if I tire of the J-Lo robe.

That's one I'm probably going to go with once I get my PC copy. My Dalish doesn't really get wearing armor - I can't imagine in the woods that you would, much. As she starts to fight the darkspawn more it becomes obvious that armor is necessary, but I just don't see her going much past light armor, tbh, at least not RP-wise. Gameplay might be a different story.
