You see some of this in Cailan, too. He seems genuinely concerned if you tell him about the alienage, for instance. What he says provides a clue about why he hasn't seemed concerned before- "my guards would never let me go there." He's been kept in a bubble by the pressure of being the heir. Cailan could have grown into the sort of king Maric was, given more time and experience. We'll never know.LadyDamodred wrote...
Alistair does make an excellent king because he has the common touch. He is genuinely moved by and cares about the people he meets/rules. Even an unhardened Alistair would feel like that. I would think people follow him because he genuinely has a way of reaching them and not because he makes a dashing leader like Cailan.

Thats what i meant, thanks Addai. Its not something overt, its very subtle. But I see lots of Ali in Cailan and if Ali is like Maric then his sons are more alike than different but its very subtle. Excellent writing.

Yeah, except I just read all the voice over notes in the toolset. Cailan really kind of doesn't care. >.> Kinda pissed about that now. I think sometimes I'm happier not knowing stuff.

Hmmm. Generic lines are kind of tough. *ponders* I think any zesty scene should be triggered by the line 'My tent. Now.'

He asks you to his tent after visiting his sister and 'hardening' him. If you have two conversations after coming out of his sister's house, once you go back to camp, he'll start in on asking you to bed.
I still don't even know what you want to do b/c you never told me!
I can't find the convo where he asks you to bed. *frowns*
I think it's in the camp area. . . because it's triggered as you enter the camp. I'm at work right now so I can't check the toolset. But I think I remember seeing it there.

I kind of like "Follow my lead" or "Do you want to lead?" depending on if you want him to take charge or follow directions?

Can you sleep with Alistair before you find out the truth? I didn't think you could.
You can if you initiate the tent scene and he is at "Adore" *Edit* or is it "Care?" not sure WHAT level but at least 75 I think. I never tried before then with any expectation of succeeding. You can ask at a lot lower but he will decline and go take a cold bath...

Examples: City elf:
KC: "One day I'll see those walls taken down. Your people have suffered enough."
VO: (A political promise.)
KC: "You think I care nothing about these things, but I do. I suppose trust will only come with proof."
VO: (A little vague. Trying to reassure without committing anything.)
Dwarves:
KC: "Sounds like there's a story behind that. You'll must regale me with it sometime."
VO: (Not really sincere about that.)
KC: "I've always wanted to learn more. Perhaps you could enlighten me sometime."
VO: (not something he plans to follow through on)
Now, it's not that I would expect a king to care, necessarily, it just goes to show. He is very much more interested in the HN, the mage and the dalish. Those lines show genuine respect and concern, especially for the HN, which makes total sense.

Lol yes you can. I did this on my last playthrough and my pc's response was perfect finding out about Alistair. I didn't take him with me to Redcliff at all and after I cured Eamon Alistair pops in and you get that wonder dialogue of Alistair's true birth.
I'll have to see if I can find the lines.

Vanilla - Take my hand or You take the lead.

You can use the conditionals on the player's lines to show/hide them (on plots&scripting tab), so you could still use it when it applies and have more generic alternative otherwise. If i'm not mistaken that particular flag is ALISTAIR_MAIN_TOLD_TRUTH in his genpt_alistair_main plot file.cmessaz wrote...

First time: "Do you...want to join me in my tent?" I like the little hesitancy. It works from a number of angles.
After first time/mild: "Let's go to bed." I never got the going to sleep, personally. Yeah, we say you sleep with someone, but meh.
Medium: Hrm. Stuck here. Nothing's coming to me.
Zesty: "My tent. Now." Which should be followed by Alistair's "Bossy!" line. XD
