Even though humans have adopted the elvish traditions of hairlessness we should accept the dwarfen ways and not impose our beauty ideals on them.
Variety is important. Dwarfes should look like dwarfs, and not like small humans who need to shave often.

Beard, axe and leather miniskirt make for a sexy appearance, even more so compared with rouge and high-heeled metal boots.

Smallville convinced me that Lex and Clark were in love. It's not even my fault, either, as the actors confirmed that they were totally pandering to the show's huge slash fanbase.

Yes, well, the writers of House also say that House and Wilson aren't gay for each other regardless of the fact that the director often has them basically undressing each other w/ their eyes.
