Not with Combat Tweaks, however. Damaging mages are useless there. And in vanilla, too, in fact.
A rogue deals much more damage than a mage.

Seriously, I wish I knew how to get the toolset to work so I could change most spells to make them actually useful...

Listen, I love rogues and play them often, but this is just silly.  A mage's AoE will always win out in the end.

If Combat Tweaks nerfs your mages, then why have it?

I'd love to get all you peeps into an irc channel. 

It's super easy.  I lurk in the swoopers irc, but it's kind of intimidating.  If there were interest, I could set up and register a channel later.

I could be convinced to get in on an irc chat if it is with you guys. Not that I even remember how to use irc, the only time I ever got on was to download stuff...

??  Neither of those mods is gamebreaking at all.  Take your pick, if having both seems too OP.

The opinion of people is highly overrated and very irrelevent. Especially when it contradicts mine.

Leliana has nothing on Morrigan. Nothing at all. Morrigan beats her in all aspects of life.

Well, you're not really picking locks with that mod as much as smashing it open with your weapon or magic.

It only has you bash if your lockpicker can't open it.  And you can set it to lose loot, so that there's a penalty for bashing rather than picking.  It's set up very nicely so that you don't even have to switch to the rogue- if they can pick it, they'll run up behind you and open the lock; if they can't, then the AI has you bash/spell it open.
