KoP, can I ask you a question? I'm totally not being mean, I'm truly truly not, so don't take it as me being mean. I'm just curious.

What draws you to the Alistair thread? If you don't think he is interesting, why would you be in a thread dedicated to him?

Is it because you are secretly in love with him or because you secretly think I'm awesome? It has to be one of the two:P

Good question. I don't really know. Maybe raging fangirls interest me? Or maybe it's just you, I don't know. (Probably because I dared myself to go in as The Loghain fan and see what happens Posted Image)

But I have to admit, this thread changed my opinion on Alistair. Before, I mostly disliked him. Now, I got to see his better side, or the other full half of his glass so to speak. Still doesn't change my Canon playthrough, nor does it generate any regret. But I got to know him a bit better.

And I am here talking about the first few pages of this thread. After that, it went crazyyyy and it's too much fun to miss Posted Image

I knew it, but I think your girlfriend would get jealous if you admitted your true feelings for me, so we'll just keep quiet about it for now.

:P

Anyway, I wish the thread had the same affect on other people as it (supposedly) did on you. Of course, if it worked that way, I would be a Zev-girl, since I hung around the Zev thread for a while. It is probably for the best that the threads have no magical powers of conversion.

Naked Alistair is super duper ridiculously awesome. I'm sure that the Maker made him a Grey Warden so he could combat the darkspawn with pure sexiness.

There are different types of humour, gentlemanly manners...etc. Each unique to every person. I meant the "at all" as I would not want to be like him in general. Even if I might share a few small bits.

A large part of the reason I've never met anyone from online...well, did I tell you what hapened when my parents found out I had a facebook last summer?

Was there cake?

No. My parents both immediately got Facebooks and forced me to accept their friend requests so they could monitor it because the internet is not safe and there are bad people on it. My dad sends me an email every time a new virus is discovered on Facebook and my mother keeps complaining whenever I friend people I don't actually know IRL and they both keep posting cutesy comments on my wall. My little brother was smarter: he hasn't let them in on the fact he has one yet and they haven't bothered trying to find him since he used his real last name. The whole situation failed. Posted Image

Wow, Sarah. Your brother can go the extra step and block both of your parents so they won't even know he has an account. Anything he posts on your page will be invisible to your parents as a result so he can post freely. The only downside is that you may look like you're talking to yourself if you and he have a back and forth conversation on your wall.

And I originally met my husband on the internet. This was way back in the days where internet dating was unheard of and I got asked point-blank a few times if I was sure he wasn't really an axe murderer. We didn't DATE online per se. We met at a message board and developed a good friendship via the board and emails. A year later, I was telling him about a date I had gone on and he asked if he lived closer, would I have dated him as well? I said yes. We lived 3,000 miles apart so we decided to meet up. My parents found out and my dad played it smart at the time. He told my mom that I was going to find a way to see him with or without their help. Instead of telling me no, he got involved by paying for the flight tickets and demanded the guy's contact info along with the guy's parents. Unknown to me at the time, he also called up the guy and threatened to kill him if anything happened to me. Also called the guy's dad who didn't even know about me in the first place, lol. I had to check in with phone calls everyday. Nowdays nobody cares that we even met online. It's not an unique story anymore! =p

I will say this, while I think you sometimes add to the thread, dropping the little comments in that serve no other purpose than to deprecate the character to for which this gush thread exists gets tiresome.  It is acting as a troll, even if I wouldn't call you that.

The Zev thread had no effect on me until I actually started taking Zevran with me. And I really really liked him. I did take Alistair with me on one full playthrough before this thread and it didn't change my opinion of him (it maybe made it worse). Contrast and compare Posted Image

Gilsa, I'm totally jealous. Truly. This is how I'd want to meet a person I would marry (mostly because the alternative would be to marry someone in Georgia lol)

I forgot how this particular conversation happened. But I did not seek to deprecate the character, I only said I don't want to be like him, while insiting that it was only my personal opinion.

If that is too offensive to people, and I apologise if that's the case, then I'll just leave.

Eh, the Zev thread got me hyped up about his romance and then I got very disappointed by it. He is fun to talk to (better than Leliana, at the very least) but he's just...meh. But I hate his romance, I'd rather romance Leliana.

LOL. Back then, I was embarrassed to admit that I met him online. I felt that it made me look desperate for a boyfriend. He ended up proposing to me after we saw "You've Got Mail" on opening night. D'aww.

Heh, similar to my story but it sounds like I was older.  We met first through a message board, dated long-distance for about a year (flights back and forth between coasts), and finally I packed up my car and drove to California.  We dated for a couple more years here (separate apartments) before we married.  I've heard some crazy online match-up stories, though.  Like, the person was a different gender when they finally met them, crap like that.  Our courtship was boring in comparison, but still glorious to me.

You come to Georgia and see the men here, then tell me who is picky. And I've only dated three Georgian men, so it's not like I'm bitter. They just cause me to knife people, and that isn't a good thing.

Besides, being a little picky is a good thing;)

"Dwarves are ugly because of their arms" arguments make Kryyptehk grrrrrr....And it is mostly (mostly, I say, not all the time) said by men who only make human or elven chicks after downloading the amazon bodies mod and keep them half naked the entire time. To the .2 percent that truly can't play dwarves because of their arms and not because they happen to not be stick-thin waifs...you have my sincerest apologizes.

What´s wrong with dwarfen arms?

Absolutely nothing; in fact, let me demonstrate why it's good to think twice before one tries to diss dwarf arms or dwarves in general:

Do you even need to ask how?
Why do you think I am here?

Just like Morrigan can inflitrate the most dangerous court in Thedas, the Imperial Court, mired with political intrigues and degeneration. So too did I brave the Alistairian cult, mired with zealotry and squeeing.

Why? As the Darkspawn Chronicle showed. Just for the lulz. Posted Image

Lol, in real life I prefer neither sausage nor the clam so you'd have a difficult time seducing me xD
