How do you have knockback on telekinetic weapons? I thought you said you don´t use Combat Tweaks?

I am still working my way through it.  *shudders*  The things I do to make sure I don't shirk my High Priestess duties.  *sighs*  -.-

I can summarize it for you, if you want.

Alistair is a big meanie. He had abandoned his duty and country. That is why I execute him.

You are not his commanding officer, he is peer to you.

No, he is not, he has to do what I want because my char is BAMF

No, your character is a Mary Sue .

Rinse and repeat over 15+ bloody sites. *yawn* (
Though I like Addai's posts)

I rather write on my FF, really. Fun fact aside, I have let Alistair hollered about it in my FF already, similarities to certain forum threads are purely coincidental of course.

"Listen human," Lenya glared at him, green eyes flashing with hatred and she straightened her posture, "...YOU made me leader. YOU shove the whole responsibility of the task to me, despite being the senior Warden. So YOU are in no position to complain about my actions now. "

Alistair gaped at her for a moment, bewildered. He took a deep breath to calm himself down again, yet his words came out harsh and vexed. " You may be the leader now, but you are not commanding me. So I don't have to shut up about everything you do. Huge difference here, you fail to understand. Or you don't want to understand."

That is the best I can say to that certain topic.

*grins*  Yeah, I just caught up.  My FF also has a scene like that.  The situation you are in means there will be tensions and tempers.  People are going to rub each other the wrong way.  It happens.

I imagine a scene like that occuring in most of my games too, even though I don't write FF. It just makes sense that at some point the PC becomes a bit frustrated. Then again, most of my PCs don't really want to take charge but do so because they pretty much have to unless I want the game to stagnate in front of Flemeth's hut

That's not what a Mary Sue is!

It's just a term. You don't have the authority to execute him for leaving as he's sworn no oaths and Riordan's cool with it.

I hit my Landsmeet Drama Saturation Point a month ago and it has served me well on a day like today. I can read bits and pieces of that thread and get vaguely annoyed only at the implied meaning of hissyfit because I will go to my grave saying that what Alistair does at the Landsmeet is nothing approaching a true hissyfit. People who use that term to seriously describe it automatically negate all other good points in their argument because it's such a flashing indication that they aren't really paying attention to him at all beyond their own kneejerk "Hey, Alistair is using his voice at me! He's not allowed to have opinions" response.

Instead, I've minimized my frustration, gotten a fair amount of writing done and enjoyed a hunk of key lime pie. It's been a decent Sunday.B)

Heh, well that was a point where both snapped. Lenya because he had shoved that leading thing to her (do not want) and Alistair because my Dalish elf did not see any harm into threatening the revered mother for Sten's cage key, which made him furious. Both were not amused with each other for a while, to say the least.

Yet I have to say that I have written this scene with a satisfied grin in my face. Hmm...I wonder why is that...

I just don't understand why Alistair's desertion is punishable by death yet Loghain's crimes are totally fine and he should be given a chance to redeem himself. Whatever. I don't really want to talk about this crap again and it is precisely why I have not even bothered to look in the other thread. I am so freaking sick of this already.

Looking at the Face Replacer, I think without the toolset I would still be in the same pickle. Because you can't tweak individual settings on characters made in CC, right?

Aye, the FaceReplacer just helps you extract or swap files. The toolset is the where the modifications get done.

Here's another way to use the FaceReplacer. If you're pretty far in a game with a character and don't want to start again, you can make another character with the CC juuuuust the way you like it. Then extract the .mor from the new character and use FaceReplacer to swap in the new face on the old character. You can bypass the toolset this way.

An alternative would be to use the FaceReplacer to extract the .mor file of your character, send it to anyone in this thread with the toolset and ask them to open it up and edit the hairstyle line to what you want, save it, and email it back to you. And from there you use FaceReplacer to implement it. ;)

If you had looked into the other thread, then perhaps you would have seen why, or at the very least the reasoning some, including myself, provide regarding the issue, without you necessarily agreeing or being convinced by them.

But you are free to do what you want. If this really makes you sick (which kind of makes me worried but nevermind), then just ignore it.

Haha, it doesn't make me literally sick. Just irritated. Not enough to kill my mood for more than a few minutes, I'm not that passionate I'd just rather avoid it. I have seen the arguments before in many previous threads and discussions like it and remain unconvinced. I am not sure that anything new or especially enlightening has been brought up in regards to the issue and doubt my mind would be changed so I just keep to my own little corner.

I'll tell you what that whole argument boils down to. Who you like more, Alistair or Loghain. If you like Loghain, you are gonna come up with every excuse in the book as to why he's right and Alistair is wrong. At the same time, people who like Alistair are going to say that there is no way that Loghain should survive. Hence why I do not get into that argument, because there is literally no way to dissuade either person.

And you can talk about how you always roleplay your character until your face turns blue, but how you personally feel about a character matters. I'll make up excuses to romance Alistair because I don't like Zevran or Leliana's romances. It may make sense for my character (at least to me) but it was my personal feelings that swayed my decision.

It's a recolor I did of one of Bidelle's eye textures (jade Jack or something). I wanted something that looked closer to her eye texture in the SA trailer, the color is a bit bluer but looks more yellow toned because of the lighting.

@Axe- I don't feel comfortable sharing it publicly since I edited some texture files for personal use (she now has the mole like some other morphs too since I think it is cute) but if you want I could email her to you or something.

Truth: If I was given a boon in real life, I would I request that Ben & Jerry's make their key lime pie flavor a regular thing. Screw all the noble things that I could ask for, because it is the best.

She does but you can stop her or do nothing and your reasoning might stem from whether you feel he's guilty of desertion.

Yeah, that's the impression I get from a lot of romances. The six origins are so completely different that some of them, RP-ing aside, you just look at it and say 'Dalish elf and human? Not bloody likely', 'Leliana gives an elf a really inadvertantly racist speech and they're supposed to romance her after that? Please', 'a girl raised with elves as servant material and Zevran? Like that will happen' but if the gamer likes the romance enough they'll put the work into RP it so that it would work out.

And I'm not really sure I like one over the other. I usually end the game with Alistair alive and well as King and he's fine with his marriage that I totally only asked him about so he wouldn't freak out at the Landsmeet and refuse to do it. Sure he's got a father-in-law he hates but lots of people don't like their in-laws and it's not like he'll have to see Loghain every day or anything. All-in-all, he's not that badly off.
