Ohh, I'm sorry.    I do think the elf kiss is the sweetest and I prefer the Alistair-elf pairing to any other, but when I post gratuitious Alistair tent screenshots, it's usually my HNF for some reason.  Does that help? 

It's fine, Addai.  I have my elf mage/Alistair pair and it's my second canon.  I, too, love the little snuggle but after awhile it gets ...  Kind of like when you're eating something awesome and you take one moer bite and your body slams into that wall where it tells you if you eat so much as one more crumb, you will throw up.  It's still effing delicious, but you do need to stop.    And when that happens, I go do something else.  Post away whatever you want.

This has been driving me nuts (I tend to fixate on things like this) -

During conversation Alistair very clearly states that his father has been dead longer than his mother.

Its my understanding that Maric died 5 years ago game time so...Is Alistair telling me a big fat lie or is it just a mistake in writing?

I'm thinking it is probably a lie. At that point, the Main Character doesn't know about Alistair's lineage.

That's a one-shot line you get fairly early on, before you go to Redcliffe.  I think it's just him trying to deflect any questions away from that uncomrtable subject.

He tells you that before he mentions Maric is his father, right? Considering the serving girl died in childbirth he has to be trying to mislead you about his father as he really doesn't want you to know.

She was still allowed to be the queen, though. There was nothing really barring her from becoming the king's wife nor from staying on as queen despite some prejudices.

I think he's either lying or it's his way of saying that while his mother is dead, his father is dead to him.  Really, really dead to him.  Probably a bit of both.

She's still a noble, though. The HC was supposed to be what? The daughter of some farmers in Redcliffe? If she could be Queen then anyone could, really. And as Alistair will not marry you if you don't bring it up right then at the Landsmeet and use your Cousland blood to strengthen his claim it probably will not fly. If you can become Queen then why not someone like Bella or Goldanna? Maybe post-game if you choose Gwaren as your boon you could marry him but by that point he won't have anything to do with that idea because of the the lack of heirs.

EDIT: I am amused reading the Legend of Calenhad. Love potions and jealous ladies. A commoner can be ruler but under extraordinary circumstances. I don't think it is impossible, just improbable.

My game has only ever updated once, that was when I imported my character to Awakening. The rest are Character Creations.

When I uploaded a few characters one time it took so long that I had actually forgotten about it by the time it finally did load.

It always takes more than an hour for anything of mine to update. It takes even longer when I try to update during busy hours.
