Wait there is cheesecake with ACTUAL cheese? Never heard of such a thing o.O In ordinary cheesecake just is junket and no real cheese...which is better this way. Yogurt is yum too. Then again I loooove milk, <3 I would kill myself if I'd have a lactose-intolerance

California Pizza kitchen is awesome. I had a Key Lime Pie as my birthday cake there once.

Edit: To answer the question, he knew the woman. She was a friend of his dad's and was pretty much family, more or less, in his world considering how much she covered for him and his dad.

I have no idea what junket is, but maybe it varies from country to country? Wiki says this:

I'm a fan of cheesecake myself. I can't get into chocolate the way other women do. Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting with chocolate chips is too much for me to handle. I have no desire for chocolate candies on valentine's day (we actually get cheesecake instead, heh -- usually turtle cheesecake so it's not so boring for my husband). Just wired differently!

Edit: To answer the question, he knew the woman. She was a friend of his dad's and was pretty much family, more or less, in his world considering how much she covered for him and his dad.

My husband had me watching it over R&R. I couldn't get into it, But I thought he was capable of emotion, just didn't feel guilt.

Cheesecake, like Key Lime Pie, are examples as to why Dairy is not a food group to me, but something to utilize to create dishes I actually like. I'm not lactose intolerant, I just really hate dairy.

Yearch. Junket is just milk solids without any of the good cheesy bits. The BEST cheesecake is made with sweetened ricotta. YUM.

Hey, or ricotta cheese, which I believe is the original method - that's Italian style cheesecake.

Personally, I do prefer New York style with cream cheese.  Italian's not as thick, creamy, and sweet to me (I've tried making them both).

If you want an amazing cheese on it's own though, give this a try.  Cocoa and cheese - it is DIVINE.

Yes, the old-timey English cheesecake is made with grated savory cheese (like Cheddar) and not just cream cheese.  Many medieval recipes mixed sweet and savory.
I'm a dairy farmer's daughter, an appreciation of dairy products is sort of hard-wired.    Though as a kid I got to refusing milk because the crap at school tasted like... well, crap.  I've gotten used to thin milk that tastes like paper, but when I think back, it's still a disappointment.

This soooo much. I only have about one candy bar a month. Heck, any cake I eat is yellow cake with buttercream icing (which I pretty much leave untouched). I don't have a sweet tooth. I have a tart tooth lol
