Did you see any bigfoot? My California-born husband informs me that north central PA is a hotbed of bigfoot sighting activity. You could have freaking fooled me.Lady Jess wrote...

My area has been steadily becoming developed since around the time I was in Kindergarten (my first day the bus driver got lost amidst all the trees and praries) and now you'd be lucky to find any near me. Each class gets bigger than the last and this year my school district opened up a third high school. Popularity was a myth in middle school, never mind high school.LadyDamodred wrote...

My high school was too big for there to be 'popular' kids. I mean, my graduating class was over 900 so it's not like we even all knew each other.Lady Jess wrote...

I barely escaped high school as it is so it's a little soon for me to be looking back fondly on it.
I have zero fond memories of high school. I was one the "poor kids" in the rich town (poor meaning single parent, working minimum wage rather than mommy and daddy being doctor/lawyer/dentist/professor). It was a nightmare, I dropped out my junior year and still don't regret it. Got my diploma through correspondance course, and became everything my guidance counselors told me I should be more than. Wife and Mom. Facebook has proven however, that all those girls that made my life hell, are divorced, single parents, struggling with debt while I've been happily married 17 years, and got us completely out of debt. Karma is a witch...lol
78 people in my graduating class. *mutters* I dislike people, but god was our class cliquey. :/

Complete with obsessing about what the GF is doing? Reminds me of that dialogue someone wrote (SurelyForth, I think) of Alistair grilling Anders about what the Commander's been doing.Lady Jess wrote...

One thing I've always wondered about small graduating classes...if there were, say, sixty people that would only be enough for two or three classes so did you guys have all your classes together and not many options about what to take?KnightofPhoenix wrote...
I had about 60 something people in my graduating class. I have very fond memories of my Lycee Francais years. And most of my friends that I have known since I was 3, are here with me in Canada for their university studies. We're like a family basically.

In my school, there was about 80 people in my graduating class (or would have been anyway). I had known people in high school for years and had at least two classes with everyone, excluding electives. I live in a developing city, so there are more people in lower grads than in my class.

I know! He's actually a friend of my sister's, so I don't know him super well, just talked to him at parties. I wonder if she'd think I was crazy if I told her to invite him over, just so I could ask him all about SV

We were in a French system. Compeltely different.
There were 2 class groups each year, and ES (economic and social) and S (scientific) in the last two years.
But each class group took all classes, which were about 8 or something.
And we had no options except in the last two years, where we chose if we were S or ES and what "speciality" we want. That's it. Oh and 3rd language was optional.

My graduating class had about 800 people in it. We had cliques, but it was kind of like cliques within cliques. It was just too large. If it had been small, I doubt I would've gotten away with taking myself out of it!
