I love this for no other reason than I was irritated that in Origins my character got to look sad, horrified, terrified, shocked, grief stricken, but NEVER ONCE got to smile.

Edit:  Yay!  *huggles*  I am also reading that fanfic.  I really enjoy it, especially since the characters stay in character, which is sometimes very sadly lacking in fanfic.

But this one is actually fun to read along because the authors have a very regular update schedule. Monday, Wednesday and Friday is chapter-day. So, expect a new chapter in about 12 hours.

Yes PC is definitely smiling. I can't tell because I haven't stared at the face for 60 or so hours but someone who has played their PC CAN see it in their profile.

Yes, she is smiling. It's hard to grab the screenshot at the exact perfect moment to get the best curve of the lips, but smiling yes. Alistair just her promised that she gets to do very naughty things to him as a reward for having to deal with this without him.   Or that he is going to do very naughty things to her.  perhaps a bit of both.

Nope. Was happy to ride with him off in the sunset again in the end,but that doesn't explain where the hell he was all the time. Since I have deleted the first Cousland I had (didn't liked her anymore being a warrior and all) , I will go and make another one to get the Queen of awesomeness ending.

All that talking about fanfiction reminds me that I should be off and writing instead of lingering here. They should finally leave Lothering after all. Maker, I learned to hate that village. <_<

The PC makes a couple of faces in Awakening! And they aren't all Alistair related: there's a few WTF-faces, some self-righteous-determination faces and at least one totally awesome skeptical-face.

Also, thank you for link A Midwinter's Thaw. It is excellent, although it makes my own brief write-up of a similar scenario seem terribly hackneyed.

Ha I wish I had pre-written stuff. The chapter I post are actually the one up to date, I'm such a lame-as$ *groans* I'm now at the point where it is time for my Dalish to usher Leliana away with her "you are crazy, get lost -- expression" As for me being a moody person, there are days where I can't get a single coherent word out of my typing fingers, and try to stare the screen down instead.

If I wrote a Cullen "romance" it'd have to be creepy as hell.

awww considering his fate if you let Loghain live and don't let Anora kill him/marry him (Frankly I almost think killing him would be kinder than hitching him to the harpy even if it is good for Ferelden) I don't think I could bear watching him drunk.

I tend to write when I realize how things are supposed to go, and it tends to come in big huge chunks.  My big long fic was at 70 pages in word before I started publishing.  The problem is that I can't just write, the story has to come to me, and it's frustrating as hell sometimes when it won't come.  Add that to the fact that I ahd another story that needed to be written, and it's slowed things even more.

Also, huge, huge props for A Midwinter's Thaw going all the way with the Alistair leaving ending.  The smaller fic I wrote did that, but I couldn't leave it as is.  Though if you stopped right before the last chapter, I guess it does stay that way.

Currently contemplating a story with the Alistair execution ending, though.  *ponders*

I would never let Anora rule. If Alistair does not rule, I believe the Throne should go to Fergus.
