But that's cute!

One of my ex-boyfriends spoke Arabic but would never teach me any because then I might eavesdrop on his phonecalls with his family (true) and give him a hard time about how schmoopy he was with them (truer). When he finally offered, I was convinced he'd teach me something horrifically offensive and decided that ignorance was the best policy there.

We have some Arabic-speaking friends.  I despair of picking out any actual words when they get going (I do know a little), but the trick is to discover whether it's a real argument or just a friendly discussion.  It is hard to tell the difference, until actual physical objects start flying.  Sometimes even then it's hard to tell which it is.  LOL

Haha yea that's true.
In fact, arguments and friendly discussions usually happen simultaneously with us.
And yes, we throw objects as a joke Posted Image

I could teach you Arabic if you want Posted Image

Posted Image I could only imagine the many ways you could teach me to say "Knight of Phoenix is awesome." In several languages, too, correct?

Yeah, I spent a summer as an RA in a dormitory that hosted a group of UAE students and evenings in the computer lab, when many of the students would chat with their families, was always entertaining for that whole "is this something I should be breaking up?" factor. That's when having a boyfriend who spoke Arabic came in extremely handy.

You're a weird people, I'll grant you that.

But it is fun to follow discussions in languages you don't understand, you can make up what is said by yourself.

The guys over in the Morrigan thread lament this heavily, but in-game there is only one even though there was supposed to be a different one for friendly/ in love.  Gaider said it got cut due to time constraints, I guess.  So we all get the neutral/hostile scene, isn't that special?

Maybe due to extreme caffeination from all that tea?  Though ridiculous tea consumption doesn't make the English any livelier.

Naa I don't think it's that. I don't know what it is really. But we have a hot temperament.
Can't wait to experience it tomorrow, when I travel back home Posted Image

Working from memory, it sounded pretty much the same to me until I hit a branch where HNM had refused her and she suggested Alistair as an alternative.  Posted Image  I suppose you would get that branch for any male PC, though when HNM then said "damn you, Morrigan, I'll do this myself," she had a line something like "I'm glad, come my love, let us put aside thoughts of the ritual and make this a last night to remember."  That's about as warm as it got, which was a huge bummer.

Edit:  I actually went over to Alistair and put it to him, out of curiosity of what he'd say.  He did the usual fear and loathing routine, but he was actually going to do it!  What a trooper.  The line that made me LOL was something like "I don't exactly relish the idea of sleeping with your woman."

Oh, I'm certain.  She's probably been planning and cooking for days.  You aren't going to be able to move.

Wouldn't have it any other way.
In fact, I think she's gonna freak out that I lost a few pounds.

What's the word for a character that isn't playing as evil, yet makes decisions like sparing the anvil, siding with the werewolves, and allowing Isolde to sacrifice herself? i imagine my nxt game as alot like Morrigan, and I wouldn't call her evil. But I can't think of the darned words I want to use.
