She's very pretty!  Maybe Leske calls her "Bel" which she hates, and Leliana changes it to "Belle" which she loves?  Is she destined for Leliana, or is she just going to get ninja romanced?

Mines starts off as:

Princess Aunn Aeducan's dark blue eyes narrowed as she inspected her reflection critically. Her long blonde hair was done up in its customary braided double-bun and she was adorned in her Grandmother Atia Aeducan's armor. It wasn't the nicest armor she had ever seen but it was better than most and one had to make allowances for advances in smithing when dealing with traditional weapons or armor. At least it looked impressive. House Aeducan could always be counted on for that, at least.

And since that's the only description of how she looks at all I don't think it's very Mary Sue-ish.

The whole Mary Sue thing.  You guys were talking about it many many many pages back, someone linked the TVTropes aritcle about Mary Sues.  You know, the whole "eyes the deepest green that look like emeralds shat out by magical leprechauns"

Ohhhhh. Yeah. Purple prose is BAAAAD. Any eye color can be turned into a Mary Sue color with enough flowery description

I wasn't being serious.  But I definitely giggle a little bit when authors describe eyes now.  I forget sarcasm doesn't always translate in text.

I don't care about the eye color, my nobles both have green eyes. I'm a Mary Sue detector. A lot of fics lose my attention because they indulge too much in the awesomeness of the main character.

Lol, I don't read or write fic and I guess I should be glad because the only character I'd be interested in writing about has Mary Sue appearance written all over her ;_; I just like to make 'em visually interesting so I don't get bored!! *runs off crying into the night*

I don't usually describe my characters beyond hair and stuff. I'll describe them if it goes with the situation, but I rarely fully describe the person in one go.
