What are the general characteristics of a femme fatale character? I think I have one, but not really sure.

A femme fatale (pronounced /ˌfɛm fəˈtæl/ or /ˌfɛm fəˈtɑːl/; French: [fam faˈtal], with all [a]'s) is an alluring and seductive woman whose charms ensnare her lovers in bonds of irresistible desire, often leading them into compromising, dangerous, and deadly situations.  She is an archetype or stock character of literature and art. Her ability to entrance and hypnotize her male victim was in the earliest stories seen as being literally supernatural, hence the most prosaic femme fatale today is still described as having a power akin to an enchantress, vampire, female monster or demon.  The phrase is French for "deadly woman". A femme fatale tries to achieve her hidden purpose by using feminine wiles such as beauty, charm, and sexual allure. Typically, she is exceptionally well-endowed with these qualities. In some situations, she uses lying or coercion rather than charm. She may also be (or imply to be) a victim, caught in a situation from which she cannot escape; The Lady from Shanghai (a 1947 film noir) giving one such example.  Although typically villainous, femmes fatales have also appeared as antiheroines in some stories, and some even repent and become heroines by the end of the tale. In social life, the femme fatale tortures her lover in an asymmetrical relationship, denying confirmation of her affection. She usually drives him to the point of obsession and exhaustion so that he is incapable of making rational decisions.

Sooo...A HNF that went so far in revenge, that she exiled her lover, spared her enemy just to see him stationed in the country he almost destroyed Ferelden in his hatred of...then moved on to become teyrn of Gwaren, (at least I think she did), and commander of the grey/Arl of Amaranthine in the process should qualify.

I think femme fatale is supposed to be sort of character who actively uses her charms to trick gullible men into doing her biddings, with little regard for what consequences await them for it. From the description of your HNF that aspect doesn't really appear and so she doesn't strike me as one.

Well the game only let's you take it so far. She couldn't complete the whole charming the man thing to make herself queen since he leaves or dies when you spare Loghain. She totally would have gone that route too given the option, but it was more important that Loghain pay, and pay, and pay for rewarding that bastard Howe. She just kept Alistair compliant and trusting via the tent the whole game:whistle:

I can give you one way, others may have a secondary way you like better. When I want to change my characters looks I use a combination of Python and the Face Replacer from Nexus. You don't have to touch Python, it just has to be on your computer (www.python.org), so no worries about it.

You either make a new face in the toolset or a new level one character with the features you want and then save it. Open up DAFacereplacer. Click source file, put your level one characters save in it. Click Destination file, put your original characters save in it (the one you want replaced). Hit the big green button, viola, brand new look. Takes 5 seconds to swap faces, 2 hours to get the right face ;)

Downside is you do have to make a brand new face, so you can't just swap hair for hair, but it's super easy to swap back and forth with.

http://www.python.or...g/download/     (I use 2.65 Windows Installer)

Mel -- I forgot, do you have a .mrh or a .mor of your character? Or did you make her in the in game CC? If you have the .mrh or .mor it's easy to change.

I think there's also a mod on nexus that lets you create a .mor file of your saved game character, but I haven't used it yet.

Edit: The mod is the face replacer mod that Swoo talked about earlier.

If you use it to extract your character face as a .mor file, then you can open the .mor file in the toolset and just replace the hair file.

Then you could use the face replacer to put that back into your character in game, or you could open up your savegame file and put it in manually.

If you're making a whole new face in the toolset, you can also save that as a .mor file and then open up your savedgame file (as long as it's not too large) in the toolset and put the name of the .mor file in.

Edit: Ah,it's the same that Swoo linked upthread. He also linked the to phyton.org.

Ok, maybe I'll jsut wait for my next PC. I'm deathly afraid of messing everything up. Plus. I'm about 2/3 through with Mel, so I'll use the hair on my next PC.

Is tucked hair not compatible with Rens and BP hair? I notice that when I ahve tucked installed, the others aren't showing

They should be compatible, they all show up on mine. Are they not showing up in your toolset, your CC character creator or in the game?

Edit:

In the toolset the other hair doesn't show up until you change it to show all files, at the file types at the bottom of the popup screen.

For CC, your chargenmorph file has to have all the hair styles listed in it.

I'm realizing that I never gave that much thought to my PCs' hair, but y'all make me insecure on their behalf.  What if they're having a bad hair game.  Posted Image

We all worry about different things. For intance, I know I don't care how long dwarven arms are without a mod as I never pay attentin to them. You just don't look at the hair much.

Meh, I get excited because I intend to restart my Queen Cousland, and I'm bored with all my hair choices. And because Lyra needed a makeover, I hate using Morrigan's regular hair.

What you need is this. It makes all the hair mods, preset mods, skins, eye colors compatible.

I've been waiting for some new hair, because this girl desperately needs something different before I can play her
