Lol, whatever at them. Alistair has been getting so much ass he'd probably be dead infinity times over if we combined all the sex he gets throughout everyone's games xD

A little OT, but I decided to pick up a copy of Mass Effect. I haven't started playing it, or even installed it yet. But I was wondering for those of you who've played -- Playing ME1 before starting on ME2 is the way to go? Rather than skip right to ME2 ? Also, can you mod the characters hair/eyes the same way as you do in DAO ?

Playing ME 2 without having an imported character is rather... a dry experience. Is really worth to play through ME and then import the character into ME 2. There are ways to "mod" your Shepard for ME 2, but there is not a toolset for it. Check out these websites:

Does anyone know if anyone has redone Cailan's armour in black/gold?

Couldn't see it anywhere :(

Thanks!! I'll do ME first then. Changing the face codes only work for ME 2, so no face/hair modding for the first ME, right?

@ianthia - I don't know about the Calian armor, but they've done runic armor in black.

There is a character creator so you can customize your Shepard, and you can keep the same face for ME 2, but there are also ways to "improve" it - for ME 2. Also, you can add some outfits and armors that are not available by default.

ETA: Do romance Thane in ME 2. :)

But keep in mind if you romance someone first in ME1 then there will be consequences of cheating on them for ME3. There are only three romanceable options in ME1 (two for guys, two for girls) but....seven, I think, for ME2 but only four for each gender.

Thank you! That's one of the reasons I wanted to play it -- I keep reading conversations about the characters & love interests, and now I want to know and experience it myself! lol.

The romances in ME1 are more drawn-out versus the three or so short conversations you have in ME2 but some of the characters are very interesting.

Interesting. Hmmm. Do we know if the LI for ME2 are going to be in ME3, or just the LI from ME1 will carry thru?

Leliana is Caislyn's BFF as of the guardian. We both gave him 'tude

And he was the only one that backed me up. I chose "my answer is my own" about Jowan. And Alistair's all "ohh now I wonder how you really feel..." and Wynne's all "shame on you for not answering a simple question preach preach" and Leliana was "Dude, STFU the past is the past". Go Leliana.

ME and ME2 were both excellent games, and I highly recommend them.  They are very different than DA though, and I definitely prefer DA.  I think the LI storylines are much better in DA.  Also, ME doesn't have Alistair Posted Image

....although Garrus is pretty kick*ss

lol, i love this picture. How did you get the armor before doing the quest? Did you use the console, or did it carry over from a previous game?

And, since we are on the topic of Bioware games, I HIGHLY recommend Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I rank it right up there with DA, and feel like it was like the game that started it all....

I used the console script earlier, couldn't find anything to wear that I liked at the time...lol

Well, if you romance Kaidan/Ashley then it gets really intense because you have to end up leaving one of them to die and if you save your LI then they basically accuse you of only doing it because of your relationship, especially Ashley since Kaidan was higher ranking than she was.

Of course, currently Liara is annoying me as she just ninja-romanced me. She was all 'So you and Kaidan, huh?' I told her yes and she said 'well, we have a special connection, too.'

Yeah, I don't expect it to live up to DAO... nothing can compare, imo! Alistair :wub:

But they looked fun, and I'm intrigued after hearing so much talk about them!!
