I gave up on ME1 because of the f!cking Mako or whatever. RAGE.
I know! Especially on the PC. The Xbox isn't that bad but, MY GOD, on the PC it is 10x worst than getting a nail stuck through your big toe.
Aside from the fact that I am TERRIBLEEEEE at shooters, the damn driving just sucks so bad. I usually end up driving into an invisible wall and the truck just spazzes the hell out and dies. Whatever >:|

I *liked* the Mako.I went and explored every planet, and thought to myself: "THIS IS AWESOME!" Maybe I am crazy. I do prefer DA:O's conversation system by far - in ME/2 you could only speak with your team members while onboard the Normandy. At least it was better than Awakening's system...*mutters*
Well that's how the Mako is, you either hate it or love it.

The Mako is bearable until you need to scale sheer rock walls.

DAO was my first foray into real games, especially PC games. Before that I usually only played when some version of Zelda came out(Aside from the time I was sucked into WoW, and came out for breath a few months later going, what the hell happened??!!)
So I haven't played any of the other games I keep hearing about.
I've played WoW, but not very much. I usually just play if I'm bored.
I happened to meet a fun group of women the 2nd day I started playing. We had a total girls night out chat and kill fest going, so it got pretty addictive. I mean, chatting and killing at the same moment, how can you beat that?!![]()
So an Ali-thread like thing while killing people? Can't get much better lol. I play with my ex, who has two level 80s. It's not all that fun lol
lol. I met another girl who played with her ex, who had some level 80's. She didn't enjoy it much either. Especially since they'd had a baby together, but were separated, and then she still played with him and he'd flirt with other girls. They were broken up, but still... not fun!! You're not Vipersbaby, are you? lol.
No but she does sound a lot like me, except me and my ex are on very good terms lol. We just argue when he tries to give me advice on how to play my characters
That's what ruined it in the end, because too many people get involved and tell you how you should play and what you should wear and how you should be specc'd. It makes it stressful instead of just being a game to play. Coming off of that, I totally fell for DAO!
Now I want to try other games out, but I doubt any of them will compare to this. For one, no Alistair. <3

*sigh*.
I don't really get it. This is one of the reasons that I love him so much. He's a man of principle who will do the right thing even if he hates it and it tears him in two to do it. It's why I think he'll make such a great king, just like his father.
He's clearly heart-broken by it. He takes great pains to reassure you that you weren't some fling, that he never wanted it to happen like this, but that he can't escape from his duty and that he's going to man up and do what he has to do. In other words, he's a man who's willing to take responsibility and do the right thing, no matter the personal cost. Yeah, it sucks and it's painful and there's all sorts of heartbreak there, but he's so strong even though he doesn't recognize it in himself. I love that about him.

Edit: I've seen the finishing animations so many times I pretty much have them memorized it's a little sad.

The argument that he doesn't love you just doesn't wash, I agree - he's soooooo broken up about breaking up with you - the post landsmeet conversation makes me cry every time.... "Thinking about you is too painful.. and too tempting.."
*sob*
The whole set of arguments put forth over there is fallacious to me. Starting with love isn't "true love" if it doesn't overcome all obstacles, and if it isn't put first above all else in life.

They keep giving me funny looks when I start giggling.

I agree completely. By that logic, military couples, couples at different colleges, etc can't possibly be "real" love.
