I do want to write another Idun chronicle this weekend, but I'm torn as what to do. I've got some backstory, and I've got an idea for something for after the Blight, but the middle is confounding me a bit. I think at this stage what I need to do is to write a more romance-focused story with Alistair but I'm extremely leery.
Curse all of you who got me writing DA fanfiction. *shakes fist at thread again!*

Ya know that screenshot makes me want to time it so he swoops Lyra in the middle of the Dalish camp just before they leave it. Spiteful? yes, yes she is.
lol Yeah...Alistair does that to my Dalish girl...I'll get there eventually. Once the thesis is done! We're on page 4 of the discussion, hurrah!

I just think it's fitting for her. By that point she's gone from Shem hating elf (she was such a witch at Ostagar, stabbing the prisoner, scaring the crap out of the quartermater, killing the wounded soldier...) to seeing her own fading attitude reflected by this clan. In between she's been shown nothing but kindness from Alistair, even Morrigan. Morrigan helping to save her life, Alistair always being between her and danger, and being there after the first nightmare. In my mind she may have even spooked the poor boy by sneaking over to sleep beside him to feel safe. Can you imagine Alistair waking up to an girl curled up beide him...lol

And you know, I'm going to have to see into this Gheyna calling the Dalish Warden an outsider. I don't remember her doing that!
It was during the Cammen thing. I used the persuade options and asked her why HE had to do all the work...lol, when she goes to him she says the outsider has shown her blah blah.

Nope, just your epilogue slide.

The one time I remember off the top of my head is after you set her up with Cammen. She says "the outsider helped me to see..." or whatever it is she tells him. Sarel also refers to you as outsider, I believe.Sandtigress wrote...

I did record the conversation with Gheyna, but checking my YouTube page, it seems I didn't upload that. Probably because she doesn't say anything interesting.

Oh that. Ha, I kind of blocked that from my memory because I figure that's just gaming mechanism in the form of recycled dialogue. I don't think that's going into consideration when I get to that point in my story.
I figure my Dalish girl sets them up even though she knows that's not how the clans do it because of her experience missing love with Tamlen. For various reasons she put him off, thinking there would always be time - after all, being Dalish and longer-lived, she always expected there would be time. After realizing that sometimes life changes your plans for you, she doesn't want to see another couple not experience love because of the clans' traditions, even though she understands and believes in them.
Sort of a vicarious experience, for her - and then Alistair comes and swoops her anyways and hey, she's got a second chance she never expected!

Or simply for warmth! A Dalish would be practical about such things. Alistair, meanwhile, would no doubt be equal partsLady Jess wrote...

That's pretty much how Lyra sees it. And she's always thought it was silly they had to jump through hoops anyhow. Girl has a mind of her own what can I say. I actually am starting her back at the initial Morrigan meeting when I get back to her. But I did check out the responses to Sarel, and luckily for me there's a biotchy one. Because that'ls who Lyra is, she's got a sharp tongue and a quick temper. None of this restraint crap for her...lol.
I just have a feeling my recruiting plans are shot. I can't refuse Leliana the second time if Alistair begs. I'd planned to only have Alistair, Morrigan, Sten, and Dog. Zevran, sadly, is going to be likely killed when he attacks her. Wynne is NOT coming. And I guess I'm just stuck with Oghren.

No Shale...I honestly keep forgetting about Shale. Caislyn hasn't gotten her either. Though I guess she should. But definitely not Lyra, As far as she is concerned her team is Morrigan, Alistair, Sten, and Dog. Leliana and Oghren simply live at the camp.

Shale is a lot of fun. I took her often with Esra because she was a freezy mage and the shatters abounded. I like her little cynical comments. But my team is generally Morrigan, Alistair and Zevran. I'm taking Sten with me through the Gauntlet this time because it's been a while and I can't remember what the Guardian says to him. Plus, after attacking me in Haven I figure he owes me and dragging him through the temple is good repayment.Lady Jess wrote...

I'm not sure how she'll take that incident in Haven. It would be in her personality to beat him, then tell him to leave. That's a very "pack leader" moment though, I need to figure out why she'd let him stay.

That's just the default dialgoue whereas earlier in the conversation she has Dalish-specific ones. I'm sure that if she were actually talking about a Dalish Warden then she wouldn't call you that.Lady Jess wrote...
