Simple desperation could always work in a pinch. Idun defended Morrigan in the Tower and hence Wynne is with the Maker, but I generally take followers even if I never use them. Makes camp look less lonely.Lady Jess wrote...
I'm not sure how she'll take that incident in Haven. It would be in her personality to beat him, then tell him to leave. That's a very "pack leader" moment though, I need to figure out why she'd let him stay.

Holy cow, when will your school year end?
Quickly, while they're at recess!
Next week is our last week. Thursday/Friday are two half days. A tad later than usual this year b/c we started a bit later, and there were a couple snow days.

Regardless it still works. You're still treated like an outsider because you are with humans fropm the time you enter, and have left your clan. Whether it's intentional or a bug doesn't matter, it reinforces the "can't go home" idea. Sometimes a conversational glitch can help.

Yes, I know. But I have no desire to teach college.
Also, browsing while in the classroom has an added element of danger!

I respecced Nate to DW the first time I played through Awakening and kept his tactics for Archer. D'oh! It certainly explained why he was always hanging out by Anders during battle. I thought for awhile they might have a thing...

I'm not saying that the Dalish don't treat you like an outsider even if you are one, I just don't think that particular one was intentional. It's kind of like how Harrowmont felt the need to explain to my DN what the Assembly was. It was just the default line no matter how ridiculous and immersion-breaking the thought of not already knowing what it was is.Lady Jess wrote...

Oh, right, hadn't thought of that. i jut figured I'd succumb to the "princess stabbity stabbity" speech because he makes Lyra laugh for the first time since duncan dragged her to ostagar, then have an "I told you so!" moment when Leliana gives her elf talk. It's fairly realistic to have people helping you that you don't really like, but put up with for the greater good.

I couldn't re-spec Nate, he just sings too much with a bow in his hand. Poor Sigrun is usually my only melee fighter in a party of Anders + mage PC + Nathaniel.

I've decided that, from here on out, Nate gets to keep his bow. Awakening is easy enough (and Anders is Destructo enough) that I don't need three human blenders. I keep myself limited to one or two in the party.

But you don't really know it's for the greater good at that point. Leliana comes off as just a crazy Chantry sister who believes the Maker wants her to follow you around and who might be decent with a dagger (although I doubt she contributed much to the fight given how pathetic her weapon was) so it's not like you have much reason to allow her to follow you in the first place if you don't want her to.Lady Jess wrote...

Yes, he said dad gave it to him when dad got tired of playing it. And he added "Let's pretend this conversation never happened b/c my mom will get really mad."
I need a sad Alistair to despair over humanity with me.

But you DO know you need all the help you can get. Plus you also know that Lothering is going to be consumed by the darkspawn, Either Alistair or Morrigan says this on your way out. My blood mage can leave her to die for those reasons (crazy chantry zealot), but I doubt Lyra will, the more I think about it.
I can't see her being arrogant enough to not take help when it's offered at that point, add to that Alistair's comments.
I'll leave the arrogant, stfu crazy chantry nut, to Jaina.
But Zev and Wynne are still not coming.

Do you think not taking Leliana leaves her to die? She'd still have time to evacuate and no reason to stay in Lothering once she's ready to leave and you've already rejected her twice. I tend to think she gets out fine. Sten, OTOH, is doomed if you don't bring him along.
