Bulls that are used for showing at fairs and such are neutered, the neutered males are steer.

Most cattle raised for beef are also neutered.  They're much more docile that way, and it allows you to control the genetic stock of your herd in an open range.

I'm having a flashback of holding a cow's halter while we tried to get the right bull to do the deed on her.  In a muddy field, in the rain.  It's not a pretty memory.

You know what's not fun? Finding out someone I didn't know had a problem with me on this thread blocked me...

Lol, no. I get really insane when I don't sleep, and I had just taken a sleeping pill so I was extra loopy. I seriously did not remember who it was and didn't know it was you since I could see all your posts and everything. I should know better than to use a computer when I am like that, but I never learn

I have no reason to be on the internets, as I need to be writing, but I had to come and do my part to revive the Ali thread, especially after my shenanigans last night. 

And I can't believe I missed a cattle conversation! I live in rural Indiana, I am literally surrounded by cattle! I can see a adorably skippy little calf from my window right now.
