I'm heading back on the 28th of August.

This one. And did you see this post? I think if you had you probably would have commented on it.

He was here, he just didn't comment because he was in Arrtis/Arttis mode. Noone believes my conspiracy theories until it is too late. Like that one time in Troy -huff-

Troy? Like Cassandra?

And I don't know...I think it would have been a much more KoP thing to do to alternate between logins so as to throw us off the trail. "Oh look, Arrtis can't be KoP because KoP just called him an idiot and Arrtis has never heard of Xanatos and is a huge Harrowmong supporter."

It's 4 where you are? Holy moly, it's nearly 11 over here. I think we were in the same time zone when you were in Quebec. I can't imagine the jet lag, I get jet lag going from Atlanta to Key West (aka staying in the same time zone lol)

My internal clock is going to explode when we move to GA later this year. I haven't lived in EST since  feb 2003. We spent 4 years in AK time (EST - 4) and now 3 years in PST.

Why are you moving to GA? Are you crazy? The only reason I can think of is your husband is getting stationed here. I cannot think of another reason to be in GA.

<-- Is dreading having to go back to GA when her vaca is over.

We go where Uncle Sam's finger lands on the map. In this case, Western Georgia. Which is ok by me. I've had about enough of the pacific Northwest at this point.  We'll be living on the same post they shot We Were Soldiers on (Mel Gibson and Sam Elliot...sigh), which thrills me beyond belief. And it won't be a bad drive to hit up Daytona (bike week), and Disney (before the kids leave us...lol), plus there's the Ren Fair, the Historic sites, cemetaries, old churches...I can't friggin wait. Oh and beaches that you can actually SEE the ocean!...lol

Ah, I live in the NorthEastern corner, near NC and SC. I'm not going to ruin it for you, since you don't seem to be rueing your fate.

Edit: Well, besides the fact that it's in the Bible Belt.

haha, I never go into a place worrying about what I won't like. I just look for things I know I will like. I still haven't found anything for WA though. The best thing about this move is not seeing him get sent to Iraq of Afghanistan again for 2 years. It will be a nice break for us, even if he does work from 4am to 10pm mon-saturday and 1/2 day sundays for 14 weeks at a time, and I hardly seem him awake...he ain't gettin shot at. I'd live in a cesspool to have that for a couple years...lol

The list I have gotten so far...

It's soooooo humid
Flying cockroaches (Palmetto bugs)
geckos
humidity
venomous spiders and snakes
humidity
it's hot

I'll admit the spiders are going to cause me serious issues but other than that, I lived in southwest PA for 28 years...bring on the humid...lol

I could never live in the Bible Belt...the area I live is conservative enough as it is. Honestly...

Me: Hey Mom, did you hear Iowa legalized gay marriage? Isn't that great?
Mom: Why are you so excited about this? Is this your way of coming out?

True story. Honestly, it's like if I were around in the sixties.
Me: Hey Mom, did you hear that buses can't be segregated anymore? Isn't that great?
Mom: Why are you so excited about this? Is this your way of telling me you're secretly black?

Aww, I love Washington, I think it's beautiful. Maybe not so much in the middle of the state, but the Tacoma/Seattle area and Spokane/Idaho side. Of course, I also love the rain, so that is a positive for me up there :)

That's the surprise of the century.

And Snake > all.

"Snakes have always been the seducers of human beings. If you know the story of "The White Snake", you will understand what I mean. In reality, Snake people are born charming and popular. Snakes are spotlight magnets, and they will not be ignored. Peer group attention and public recognition are the least of what he expects. Yet Snakes are never noisy or deliberately outspoken, and they have have excellent manners. "

"Most people are secretly or hopelessly in love with Snakes. Gather those frustrated folk you know and most likely, they are probably in love with a Snake. Irresistible as they seem, the Snake never wastes time in idle gossip. He thinks often and deeply. He is an intellectual, a philosophers, a cerebral person."

"Personality-wise, Snakes are not people who can be easily ignored. They possess a strong, charismatic presence and a charm which has been described by some astrologers as "bewitching" or "beguiling." With a penetrating eye and attention to the desires of their conquests, they're known as experts in the art of seduction. "

"In love, the Snake male is romantic and charming. He has a sense of humor and the female is usually beautiful and successful. but if a Snake chooses a partner, he'll be jealous and possessive - even if he no longer loves her. Rejection is the worst blow his delicate ego can suffer. The Snake must be received, welcomed, accepted and approved by those with whom he comes in contact. They need a lot of security. "

Yep. I am awesome Posted Image
And the last bit is VERY true.

We're in the Puget Sound area, and the rain all winter just kills me. It's just all buildings and city and traffic, too much for this lil ol' small town girl I guess. Unfortunately we rarely have time to get away from it, and the highway drives me INSANE! Who's brilliant idea was I-5 anyhow? Good LORD my kids school is like 2 exits away, and it takes sometimes an HOUR to get there...lol I'll give a little on pretty though. Mt Ranier is pretty...when you can see it...I could see it today from the PX parking lot

This is what mine says:

People born during the Year of the Horse have a pleasant, amiable, easy going disposition which guarantees popularity and a large following of friends. Blessed with good humor and geniality, they are extremely comfortable to get along with for they have the knack of instantly putting people at their ease.

Charming and cheerful, the Horse is an extremely likable character. Hard working, self-possessed and sharp, the Horse skillfully acquires power, wealth and respect. However, the Horse's sometime-appreciated frankness can be tactless. The Horse's impatient pursuit of success may become selfish and predatory. Horses can be obstinate. In truth, they are more cunning than intelligent, and they know it. This is why, despite that air of assurance, the Horse lacks confidence in himself.

Above all, the Horse is cut out to be in politics, a career which could bring great personal satisfaction with the opportunity to grind his own axe. He could be a winner here, for he has the facility to sway the crowd.
He is very quick-witted and he is right in there with you before you have had the chance to finish what you were saying; he's on to the thought in your mind even before you've expressed it. This permits the Horse to forestall any arguments that anyone can dream up.

With the Horse, movement is everything. Freedom and independence are as essential to Horse-born people as the air they breathe. A low boredom threshold, both in terms of interests and friendships, is characteristic of those belonging to this sign, and adds a whimsical quality to the otherwise level headedness of these folk. Consequently, they tend to act on impulse, and this means there is an element of unpredictability about them.

Like the symbol by which they are represented, Horse-born people are high-spirited and lively. Their vivacity and enthusiasm make them very popular. With a deft sense of humor, Horses are masters of repartee. They love to take center stage and delight audiences everywhere. Sometimes rash and willful, they can be prone to rapid changes of mood and, although seldom really explosive of temper, when they do see red, it is not a pretty sight. Those who have suffered a Horse's rage will never feel quite the same about him again, for his fits of temper are inevitably a bit childish. If he wants to succeed, he has to master them.

Resourceful and self-confident, Horses approach all things enthusiastically. Quick-witted and mentally alert, they are quick to catch on and efficient in all their undertakings. Because of this ability, this dexterous and incisive mind of theirs, they can make accurate judgments and sound decisions instaneously. They are particularly skilled at handling money, very often in business dealings following their hunches. When it comes to intuition they have a sixth sense that is quite uncanny. Unfortunately, as the Horse is a creature of changing moods he's liable to lose interest suddenly in things he's taken up, whether it's a love affair, a single deal in business, or a whole career. He'll start again with the same determination, and he'll enjoy an equal success. He can make it in any career that demands neither solitude nor meditation, for he is an extrovert and he needs to be surrounded by people who approve of him and flatter him.

Due to their dislike of inactivity, Horses get involved in many sorts of works outside their chosen trade. Good with their hands and attracted to art, they are skillful craftsmen with a talent for innovation.

The first and second part of the Horse's life will be full of ups and downs. He will leave his home and family while he is still young, and this will bring its own disappointments. His love life will be by no means smooth. But the third phase of
the Horse's life will be a peaceful one.

I agree with parts of it although not all. For instance, I'm more intelligent than cunning. Still, they have the whole suddenly losing interest in everything done exactly.
