I honestly agree with you nranola, but it seems that the majority don't. I think it's sweet. The "My Love" animation just seemed a little off to me.
And that cartoon? Way too funny. I love it.

"My love" seemed to have the wrong volume level (or whatever it is called), a little too loud. I'm glad it is gone now.

I don't mind the vanilla "my dear" line but English is not my first language so some things are lost on me.

The issue with the volume is because this line was supposed to be when you select him in game and he is in love.
It looks like we need to take a vote on the "in love" line. I won't change it in my next release today, so everyone can get their input before I do anything. Also, I am going to try and make the US pre-archdemon killing kiss cutscene with Alistair a little more accesible. More than just 1 line should lead to the kiss.

Someone is creating a mod, which will add old friends and your romances to Vigil's Keep. The mod creator intends to recycle/re-edit dialogue and create new vanilla sex scenes for Alistair, Zevran and Leliana.

I saw that. I would be very pleased. I might actually play Awakening again! The only problem I see is the continuity, such as why is Alistair there? I'd like to think this will be explained. I guess continuity and Awakening don't go in the same sentence anyway. (unless you add "there isn't any")

It's not really stealing, is it?  It's... Alistair.  Just one of his lines.   I would personally be for "my love," but then I haven't installed ADP because it conflicts with the Zevran final stuff.

A Grey Warden Alistair, yes that would easly work.  Dog will be easy to add, all you have to do is just have him bark.

We could just pretend the silly Bannorn were not in turmoil after all.  The queen and king can hold court wherever they are.  Denerim would get by without them for a little while.  Kylon has it all under control.

I just wouldn't want Lady Olivia to think I stole an idea from her, is all. The animations to me seem to be off, as it was meant to be viewed at a distance. But I will go with majority vote here. Everyone let me know what your vote is!

Well, if he's King he does say that he'll try to get back to the Keep as soon as possible.  If the modder had him return from settling issues in the Bannorn it would make for decent contingency. 

I've never played Awakening where Alistair remained a Warden, does Awakening ever give a reason as to why he isn't present?

No, nothing. He's just not there and no one ever mentions him which is incredibly weird because we TOTALLY need every Warden we can get. Just not the one who helped to save Ferelden from the Blight, obviously.

Ok so a couple hmmmmm votes. I won't edit the line in today's release. That way more people have a say. I think I will keep some sort of tally in my group discussion. Any further ideas, please let me know.

That's so odd. I've only ever played through Awakening as Alistair's Queen. The devs should of left in those letters at least that would of made the situation make a little more sense.



I just started playing through as another HNF. I was going to try to play through as a male Warden but something about rping as a guy makes me feel dirty.

Waiting through all that sucks when your "ready to go"

Serissia: I agree about the male thing. This is why I "borrow" other people's characters for testing. I like Alistair's friendship dialogue though. It just makes me love him that much more.

Speaking of playing a male character... I've never understood why Bella will only kiss male PCs. I'm sure the whole tavern would be like omfg HAWT to see two females kiss. lol
