So you liked the Prince of Persia movie?  Would someone not familiar with the game enjoy it also?  'Cuz that hot DW action sounds pretty appealing!

The movie didn't get great reviews, but I loved it and I would recommend it to anyone, especially to those who love video games. It doesn't feel at all like an adaptation, it is a great adventure on its own.

I really want to see it, it looks awesome and I don't care if it isn't perfect to the video game I want to see it!

It is visually beautiful, really, and it has a great adventure story (it does relate to the video game story). It is worth to be seen and it deserves so much more than the reviews gave it. 

Even if you don't like Jake Gyllenhaal, which I don't, he is a very convincing prince.

The other advantage of DW is that I almost always have Alistair in leather armor now and I just imagine it must be so much more convenient for... things.    Moreso than the tin suits, pretty as they are.

I've actually never played the games either - historically I'm terrible at that sort of game.  I know one thing about them - they have fantastic looking action scenes (which is what I suck at).

The movie had terrific action - it was like watching live-action Assassin's Creed (which I have played) and just gorgeous and even mostly believable, for someone who was very acrobatic and rather on the lucky side.

I enjoyed the characters, even when they got a little Disneyish, and while there were some obvious "plot twists" they were actually spun well enough that it wasn't as cliche as I thought they'd be, when I thought I had seen them coming a mile away, so that was good.

Unfortunately, I think it would have made a better 1 season TV series than a movie - they tried to cram a lot of story and character development into a short amount of time, and there was so much more that could have been done with it.  There is, for instance, a theme on family and trust and a character who deals with losing those things and I would have liked to see more depth to it rather than "Wah, everyone's gone, okay, time to get moving again".

But yeah, it was worth the four bucks I paid for it, and I admit, I'm almost tempted to see it again for the action....

I remember in FF11 the elven males were the taller then the human males but the females were the same height.

yeah I just really can't see my character so tall....I usually draw her out as small and looks like a little girl with an antenna

Come on, it's a movie, you don't really need someone to watch it with. And if you really feel like having company, who knows, maybe you'll meet somebody there.

I wandered over to read the discussion on the DA movie and now I'm depressed.  I don't want anime DA.    Why couldn't they hire those guys who made the fan movie, Warden's Fall.  That was some good stuff.

I get the feeling from Gaider comments that he's pretty disconnected from what is happening with the DA story now, and that worries me.  The further we get away from Origins, the goofier the stuff has gotten that has been spun off of it.

All I can suggest is relax and breathe. I'm not sure how the DA anime is going to be or is Mr.Gaider is working on DA2 like the rest of the writers but I can say what happens...happens. Anyways if the DA anime is bad we can always go to the fanfictions to enjoy a good story...

Oh yeah how do tell the merchant how to lower his prices or what does he say to a Dalish Elf?

Random question:  Anyone have any idea if Rivaini is similar to Qunari?  The languages, I mean?  I know they share ties and to some extent religion, but not sure how close the cultures actually are.

No, hence the guess. But that there will be a DA2 is pretty much a given, and that the lead writer would work on it seems natural.

He did hint in the Morrigan thread, about fans own expectations for the sequel weeks ago.

Yes, I read his enigmatic non-answers in that thread.  I don't recall, however, that he specifically said what he's working on right now.

I haven't really either but I just usually enjoy just playing DA, reading good fics, and looking at DA artwork. I didn't buy the darkspawn chronicles because I'm too much of a softie to go and be a bad guy and kill all the characters.
But I think if they do it right they could make the DA anime into a work of art like the Sacred Ashes trailer, they have to use the right tone of artwork anyone could make an anime but if you want to convince people to fall in love with it you better have damn good artwork and a good character development...and if you want me to be a happy camper give me my female rouge as the Warden and major happiness if its a erherm burnette green eyed Cousland orphan..

The one who tries to rip you off, I'm on a writers block in my story and I can't write the arguement out and I can't remember what you have to say to get the rip-off merchant to lower his prices, I need to try and divide the conversation in both defeat and victory.


I'm just reusing my Alistair drawing as top page Alistair..
