My Dalish PCs start out with preconceptions about humans, too.  As long as someone is open-minded, it can work, but you have to decide if a cross-cultural friendship (or just one where the two people start out from very different places) is what you want to begin with.  They will always be more work.

lol Maybe I don't notice it anymore since no matter what I do, things will be cross-cultural for me.  Both of my parents are immigrants, but I was raised in the US, so I have this weird conglomeration of Asian and American values and culture and what not...everything is cross-cultural whether I go American, or Asian (and my parents are two different nationalities, so it gets even better! :wizard:)

I swear, your Alistair is the cutest Alistair. I think that your fantastically adorable PCs are reflecting their glory on to him, thus raising his adorability factor in the process.

Well, they're talking about The Sims 3 now, which is more interesting than most of the crap they've talked about.

What are they saying? They just released an expansion pack for it (which I am proud to say I did not break down and buy, even though I was getting emails about it on an hourly basis).

One of these days I will figure out why some pictures (like this) just never show up on my computer screen. What is it?

Something sciencey that I am not understanding at all. Talking about the console versions of The Sims 3.

Oh. Posted Image The Sims without custom content is like...something that is sort of fun without something that makes it endlessly addictive.

For me, that conversation would kick Leliana out of the potential love interests box and once I think of her in a strictly platonic way that's just not going to change, what with the dreaded friend-zone being what it is.

Edit: Oh, and no one there admits that she is racist even though she herself will concede the point because apparently racism has to be motivated by hatred.

I think that what makes me forgive Leliana is that I think she actually realizes how bad her prejudice was even as you speak.

I do forgive her. I just won't date her as a non-human.

Having seen internet cafes full of young men absolutely glued to their screens playing multiplayer FPS, I guess I can understand.  I mean, I'm assuming these games are sold internationally, and the young male majority among gamers in North America and Europe is probably a universal male majority in a lot of countries.

I enjoyed Half Life 2 actually. it had a bit of story to it, it was challenging even on easy. And I like the ww2 style for Call of Duty World at War. But that's about it.

I bought Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 and played it for about 20 minutes.  It is too intense and too dependent on speed/ reflexes rather than something more thoughtful.  I'm never going to be good at that and that isn't a relaxing or entertaining experience to me, at ALL.
