Yeah, that's exactly how I feel. It's why I only really play RPGs.

I only play DA:O. I can't find another RPG that measures up to the story, graphics and interaction. Those were the only 2 shooters I liked, I'm not into sports, puzzles frustrate me. So yeah...I'm pretty much screwed when I'm eventually finished with DA:O.

Jess, I highly reccoment Knights of the Old Republic.  I think it's one of the best RPGs ever.  Don't be scare off byt the fact that it's Star Wars....I was never a Star Wars fan, but fell in love with the game instantly.  The graphics aren't as good, since it's an older game, but the story is EXCELLENT.  Same convo system as DA:O, and similar combat system.  And there's a cute romance option too Posted Image

But I've been playing RPGs since I could read, almost, and I do attribute a lot of my love of reading and good stories to all the games I played as a kid.  <3

I'm the opposite... I've been reading sci-fi/fantasy since I was a kid, and attribute my love of good RPG to all the stories I read!

But they said Bioware had news!!!! Was it TOR?

Yup, it was just one guy from BioWare and some LucasArts lady introducing a TOR cinematic or something. Which was badass but IDGAF about online stuff.

Thats the opnly Bioware I saw. And if it wasn't an MMO, I might actually be excited. But...WoW was ruined for me when I played a single player RPG, I can't imagine any MMORPG being as in depth a story as it could be. And PvP...eff that.

I looooooved KotOR. I've finished it at least 20 times lol. It's my favorite game (yes, even over DA). And I like the romance with Carth:wub:

lol Well...I was playing FFIII/VI around when I was 9, and picked up my first fantasy book in fourth grade so that's....10 or 11?  Brian Jacques' Salamandastron.  <3  I guess they really grew up hand in hand - RPGs were another way of getting a good story!

Heh, I kind of feel that way, too, since every attempt to distract myself with another game has failed.  I liked Fallout 3 and Oblivion a lot, but I don't know if I can go back to lonely adventuring, either.  My alternative once I eventually get sick of DA is to clean my house and read more.  It wouldn't be an entirely bad thing.  Posted Image

Yeah, I definitely have a list of books that are piling up, and a whole lot of spring cleaning that is probably going to be Autumn cleaning, by the looks of things.

I really can't get into anything but RPG and/or adventure --- I have a soft spot for Legend of Zelda games.

Me too, though I've only played the console ones, not the portable ones.

Also, hey Sabreene! :D

Hey! :D :D

I've only played the console ones too. The last one I played was on the Wii, which was actually a whole lot of fun.

I tried it, I have it. I just can't get into it. The controls are screwy, and the companion's voice is...gah robotic. Not to mention just as I was starting to maybe get a spark with the dialog in the first scene, suddenly he's telling me how to use my mouse and keyboard and I'm going wait... no....lol

I'm more of a reader, too.  I started playing MUSH about 6 or 7 years ago, which was really late in the game even for that ancient genre (think RPG played entirely in DOS-like green text).  The only reason I liked it was because I'd always been a reader and an occasional writer.  The video format really does not appeal to me solely on its own.  It's got to have a gripping story or I'm going to go do something else.

I don't know, I might. It doesn't play well with my screen, alot of flashing between loading screens and no native res , so I'm stuck with 1600x1080, which kinda looks odd on a 1900x1200 res computer.

I totally will when I get back to GA. They restored the missing ending when he dies to save the Exile (when you are controlling him and you lose). But oh god, I couldn't do that. I'd burst into tears :crying:
