The eye colors of the parents make blue eyes improbably but not impossible and both parents have grey hair so while one of them has to have had brown hair at some point for Fergus the other coudl have been blonde or even a redhead.TotoroTori wrote...
Hmm okay thanks for the help. I guess that is also the woe of having two parents in an origin than just one.
Genetics are a strange, strange thing. I have yellow-green eyes and my husband has dark green eyes. All four of our children have different shades of blue eyes.
So yeh. Ummm, no real point here other than to agree with Sarah1281.
lol It essentially means that you adn your husband are both heterozygous for whatever genes give your eye color, and so all your kids got the "other half". Improbable, but not impossible!
I actually find my eye color stranger (well, aside from my eyes being a REALLY weird color) seeing as I have a blue eyed and a brown eyed parent. Really, I think the whole thing is a bit more complex, but my knowledge of DNA and genetics is, well, just scratching the surface to put it lightly! I know everything I was taught in school about it (mumble years ago) is wrong.
