Valora's is black hair/Blue eyes (like her dad) If green is supposed to be canon then no one informed the eye colorist.

Same, my HF got blue eyes after dad and black hair... not sure why, probably as contrast after the blonde CE. Guess i should retcon it to dark brown to fit Fergus but meh, lazy. Posted Image

I go with the black.  There's nothing that says you can't have it.  We don't know what Bryce and Eleanor had.  And my dad had black hair and both my grandparents had brown.  *shrugs*

And...this is what I've been amusing myself with.

It's Bann Aligan!

I kind of dig Bann Aligan:wub: Is that cheating?

I do too... he actually looks alot like my scruffy Alistair I'm using.  And I  hearing him talk with each voice. I think I heart that scene.

omg.. all of a sudden everybody is very toothy!! anyone know what caused this and how to get rid of it (in game)
Do you have a screenshot?
Zeleen -- did you install any new mods that affect teeth? Whiteners, or Dracomies Dragon Age Redesigned ?
the dracomies one it didn't say anything about teeth..
Dracomies whitens all the teeth :( Like tmp said, Dracomies updated the skins and one of the fixes he did was to make the teeth whiter. If you look in the comments, you can see people wondering the same thing... what happend to the teeth?! lol. He does say he'll release a non-toothy version as an option, but he hasn't done it yet.

Do you have the toolset? I can tell you how to fix it in the meantime.
Yeah but, not comfortable with it yet...  I'll just wait til he fixes
I'm fighting in the Provings as a DN right now and was able to pick Alistair as my second. From a dwarf noble perspective, I really enjoy having Alistair fight alongside me because he is Alistair "of the Grey Wardens" just like me. We both have royalty in our blood and are outcasts in our own ways. We are both Grey Wardens to defend and protect our respective kingdoms. I love that he is in my hometown and is backing me up, so to speak. It's unfortunate that he doesn't really have any specific lines for a dwarf noble, but it's the small things like this that counts. Just thought I'd share one of my favorite moments in a DN playthrough. After I finish the Deep Roads and get Landsmeet started, I should be able to walk up to Gorim and tell him that I'm in love with the king of Ferelden. I'm really looking forward to that -- should be a lot of fun. Don't know if I can finish Deep Roads tonight -- I enjoy it and tend to drag that part out longer! (I'm getting antsy to get started with my Brosca/Zevran romance, too!)

That is Vanilla Alistair, except for the fact that some of the lines on hisface were lightened up.  I hate changing anything about his looks, but I rather like the younger face, since it's more fitting.

I think my character being the crazy AU child of Surely's is rubbing off on my game, because Alistair is actually doing decaps and has an expression while fighting. \\o/

I pronounce it with a Midwestern accent (which is Doing It Wrong). Mah-HA-ree-el is as close as I can describe it.

ETA: Apparently it's pretty dang close to how Addai pronounces it, too. I debated sticking the r with HA, but I started thinking about it too hard and it got a bit weird, so I left it.

Pretty much the way it is spelled, I think. I guess there'd be some rolling of the r? *ponders*

I pronounce it like the other two, and despite the fact that I am born Texan, I have very little accent, so unlike SurelyForth, I am not "doing it wrong". :-P

I don't think there's any r rolling...none of the other words with r's seem to roll them..."Andaran antishan" or "Ma serannas" or the like...

Isn't it "Ron F***ing Mah-HA-ree-el"?

I LOLed so hard when you wrote that the first time :).

Haha, I was mainly thinking of when Alistair pronounces Garahel at the end of the game (at the PC's funeral). The r is very lightly rolled and stuck out enough for me to notice it. Though I play on mute a lot so I don't necessarily pay attention to how the Dalish themselves pronounce similar words. I only really remembered it because Yukielf's name is fairly similar and thought Alistair would pronounce it in a cute way :( I stupidly only noticed how much her first name is like her last name until I picked the name and meaning and it stuck.

Say that she's yukielf of the clan Mahariel and it breaks up all the rhyming!  :wizard:

 Well, as Sarah1281 pointed out, if Ron is a nickname for Theron, it's "The Ron F*cking Mah-HA-ree-el".

It's still Tuesday on the West Coast!

Yeah lol xD I picked the name based off some Elven name creator that  I believe  Lady D posted at one point. I picked it because the separate parts meant silver and sadness. I just pretended her mom stuck around long enough to name her and it sort of fit her mindset + the PC's eyes :? Who knows what made up elven language it came from, but I liked it enough before I went "SH!T, it rhymes!" Oops xD

Hey all, since no one has answered my thread in the other forum I thought this would be a good place to find some experts. If I'm playing a game where I make Anora queen and she doesn't marry Alistair, am I better to have Alistair hardened or not, in terms of how he reacts to not being made king?

Honestly I think he's okay either way - you just have to be more careful with stuff like who duels Loghain and what not if he's hardened.  But Alistair doesn't really want to be king - he is, however, much more willing to find the good in it if he's hardened.

Since I see hardening as helping Alistair be all that he was really meant to be as a self-assured, confident man, I have a really hard time justifying not hardening him with most of my characters.

Unhardened is immensely relieved It's Not Him. Hardened doesn't love Anora being queen, but he'd rather be a Grey Warden so it worked out for the best.

Edit: Sandi is right -- if he's hardened, don't let him be the one to duel Loghain.

Edit 2: Don't worry how he reacts to not being king. He's ultimately fine with it. Harden him based on whether or not you feel it makes him a better character. And if Alistair needs to be unhardened if you are playing a HNM with the intention of marrying Anora yourself.

Edit 3: Dedicating the top picture to the fabulous "first night" mod by DahliaLynn.
