Actually it can happen to Morrigan anyway even if you refuse the Dark Ritual. I'd say it's difficult, not impossible.

You're a Warden. Essentially, your body is tainted. Removing Fiona from the equation (magical brooch of A WIZARD DID IT) lore wise, it's a no no. On top of that, Alistair is tainted. Your body is slowly, slowly dying, or at least turning into a lovely darkspawn creature. At the time of your Calling parts of it will be black and shrivelled too, delightful!
