Ok, this looks better for Fallout New Vegas.  I was especially happy to hear them talk about companions, and the fact that your companions have good dialogue and a personal quest.  That makes me happy.  Ok, so maybe I can look forward to this game after all.

May I ask what is "this". Can't access Youtube.

I am interested in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Plus, the fact Machiavelli appearing has been confirmed, makes a poli sci student like me squee lol

It is a gameplay preview from E3.  My husband wants the t-shirt the guy is wearing, it has a two-headed bear and says New Republic of California.  Heh.

I haven't played any of the Assassin's Creed games.  Are they RPGs?

Filling in for KoP for top of the page.  Gaze upon the derriere of the future queen of Ferelden.

Not good RPGs, no, but they are effing awesome games. They are extremely fun. I haven't finished AC2 though.

I can't because apparently my computer hates YouTube. I don't know why.

Gameplay preview of what game?

No, they are not RPGs. Sandbox action games rather. But they have an itneresting plot. Though the 2nd one is better than the first in terms of story telling (and everything else, except the first has Damascus in it. And Al Mualim).

The ability to climb, run and jump around historical cities which are perfectly reproduced.
The first game had Acre, Jerusalem and Damascus in the 13th century. The 2nd one was in Renaissance Italy and had Florence and Venice. All characters have historically existed, like Richard the LionHeart, Da Vinci, Machiavelli...etc.
They have an interesting plot.

They are cool games, though I dislike the direction the story has taken in the 2nd.

The story is pretty good, but the gameplay is really awesome, though it gets tedious later on. It's just really fun to play, with enough story in there to not be a mindless romp.

The first game helped me get through me living in a foreign country a lot.
Initially, I only bought it so I can see my home city, Damascus, in the 13th century. I actualy teared up a bit when I was running and jumping around.

Looks interesting.  I'm very easily bored with games, but if you say the story line is good I might check it out.

Well it's laggy, and youtube killed the quality, but you can hear the conversation and see it well enough. The persuade check was "from the grey wardens of course" and then I just agreed with Irving. Interesting little tidbit about Mage wardens in there.

Wynne confronts Jaina

You know, that whole 'Only 1 mage warden at one time' thing is such total BS.  1) It makes no sense and 2) You can have up to 3 in awakening, so...

I'm willing to bet it was a story hold over that got cut, and the dialogue was never adjusted.

I think it's just typical Wynne, opining about which she hasn't got a freaking clue.

The guy in the mage origin says the same. I think that the Chantry is only willing to allow one of their Circle mages to become a Warden at any given time so if they want more then they'll need to invoke the Rite of Conscription and when it's not an emergency situation like a Blight or intelligent darkspawn like in Awakening then they do not want to deal with the repercussions.

And yes, I know there were more than one mage Warden at Soldier's Peak but that was a long time ago and Chantry policy might have changed since then or perhaps only the Ferelden Chantry decided this when the Wardens were let back in twenty years ago.

Also, I was reading a DA story and one of the characters mispronounced Zevran 'Zevron' and it reminded me of, well...Posted Image
