Four, there are four Aquarius' now! Yay! Not enough water bearers in that picture!

Unfortunately, the capricorn gets the best job. The goat eats the cloth, and runs...Alistair then chases said goat to get his smallclothes back, and leaves all you water babbies filling your containers with TEARS!

You're going to eat yuki?!

But I am also a Capricorn. Therefore I stubbornly cling to Alistair's bum and manparts, I will not be moved!

We will use are aquarian powers and put electric eels in your underwear.

I am a piece of cloth, I have no underwear. If you put eels in me you will electrocute Alistair's delicate areas. I will have to shapeshift into some cooling gel for the burns and slather myself all over.... ;)

This thread is not very kind with newcomers and it often feels like a very private club, with too many inside jokes (it makes sense, but it discourages others to post) where outsiders are not welcomed. Maybe some don't realize that what gets posted here is a bit "out there" in terms of what a "regular" fan might expect when browsing a fan thread. Of
course, these expectations vary, but they do have some borders that one can say have been crossed here.

I came here only two months ago when this thread was in the hundreds. I had no problems getting into the thread, even with the inside jokes. I don't really see the problem.

I think that if someone has insightful things to say and/or add to the conversation he/she is generally treated with respect regardless if he/she is a regular or not. If someone on the other hand comes in trolling, spouting random nonsense or complaining... well, you get what you give.

Wise words indeed, Seri. I'm thinking of switching my alliances from KoP to you. :P

Yeah, it did, because I took a break from DA to play ME just as the thread started. A week later, I came back and it was in it's hundreds. Wow.

Hmm... You don't seem to get what I'm saying. :)
One, as has happened, would not expect to see the images that sometimes get posted here, or to read the discussions that are taking place here - remember the expectations? - and because of that the thread feels unwelcoming. These things are not inviting for someone new to open up a dialog.

Well what are you expecting? On-topic all the time? That would make this thread a lot shorter. When a thread has epic-length like this one even though they'll probably be willing to discuss the actual topic if someone brings it up you've got to expect some strangeness. Or a lot of strangeness. Not to mention that most of us are actually friends, y'know? If we weren't off topic sometimes, we probably wouldn't be as friendly as we are. And it's not like we kick people out for daring to be regulars. If they come in to discuss something or just to hang out, we accept them. I still stand by Seri's statement.

What about some flexibility? I'm not saying to be on topic, I'm just stating how this thread "feels" - sometimes - for an outsider. Can you see the difference? I'm not here to suggest changes, I'm not here to be the thread police, telling you to be on topic, what to post or not to post, this is not my intention.

I was a "newcomer" for quite a while. I lurked, would interject once in a while, and then move on. It wasn't until I started my xbox screenies that I felt "noticed", and people starting noticing me. That may not be correct, but that's how I saw it.

Bottom line, one or two comments doesn't get you "noticed" right away. But several posts after a period of time, and people start to know you. Especially if they are funny/insightful/add something. Am I making sense? Or are the several beers in my system making me nonsensical? I think that may ahve sounded mean. I'm going to shut up now and go drink more beer.

Edit: Yay ToP!!!
