Ugh my Jaina just broke up with Alistair for the 3rd time. I couldn't handle him hating her, HIS break up requires that. When I tried the Zev/Alistair choice the kicked puppy look was murder. So I finally used the birthright dialogue at camp. Much easier, and you can apologize and he'll tell you you're too pretty not to forgive.

Apparently that route of breakup is reversible. Which means, you can actually HAVE a rocky relationship through the game I guess as long as you don't anger him TOO much. This could be an interesting playthrough afterall. If I can get these robes to cooperate.

Specifically I asked why he kept the secret. I was nice right up until he said the part about liking him for him. Then I chose "I did like you for you, now I don't know who you are". He looks sad, and the romance appears to turn off. Then I gave him the amulet, told him I remembered because he was special to me, and got (new to me) that I was special to him too. And the romance came back on. No, I had been close to 100 and had initiated the tent, gotten the rose, and been swooped, and at adore not love because we haven't done his quest yet. Then I took a few approval hits, -23 for Isolde because I didn't choose persuade this time. -10 for recruiting Zevran, and a couple other objections. So she was at +54 care by the time they got back to camp and she asked about his birthright.

Yaaaay!! I finally DID IT. I got to tell Gorim that I was in love with the king of Ferelden! It sucked having to wait until Alistair was crowned because I couldn't get my family shield from Gorim until then. There's an option to tell him you're in love with the future king of Ferelden, but you basically have to finish all three treaties and move Arl Eamon to Denerim to get that option to show up. It's dumb to not just go ahead and rescue the queen/do the Alienage to get the "current king" line instead.





And you know what? It wasn't until I crowned Alistair that I realized it had been a very long time since I had him as a solo king. This might have been my second game with him as solo king ever. Yeah, I know! *boggle* I was shocked when he turned to face me about defeating the Blight together. Nothing new to most of you, but still. It was practically new territory when I thought I already knew it all. =p



Anyway, definitely digging this game especially with Alistair as the human king and her as the dwarven princess (Bhelen is on the throne so the Aeducans are still in power). She'll be his chancellor and coordinate things between Orzammar and Ferelden.

Awesome! Jaina might end up blood mage chancellor at this rate. FFS I just cannot leave him ALONE!!! She was supposed to be Zev's girl /flail.

Gilsa, what armor is he wearing? And Duncan's shield looks totally different than I've ever sen it.

Alistair is wearing heavy plate armor (dragonbone/tier 7) -- I bought it from the vendor at Warden's Keep. I just like how simple and classy it looks. And the shield is from the same vendor and is called "heavy metal shield." All the shields have the Grey Warden logo, but different shapes like circles, etc.



I am somewhat irritated by the differences in dragonbone heavy chain and dragonbone heavy dwarf armor because the heavy chain has the same lovely hue that Alistair has while the dwarf version is overpowered by the purple hue. Ugh. No biggie, but I wanted the dwarf armor in that pretty color on the left!

Because he looks like a clown? I'd really appreciate if someone could make the clothes look NORMAL. I'd prefer more natural colors. And I could do without the plastic look that is probably supposed to be silk or velvet.

Morning Klarabella. I just found a bug in CRS myself...a funny one. My HNM triggered the Alistair romance by using the line about "I'm the lucky one" in Redcliffe and got the rose from Alistair...wow...didn't know I could be NINJA'ed by the Templar...

Hell I would never romance ANYone else if that were the case...However, I am already in a romance with Leliana (at least till my boy marries the Queen). I got Alistair's "jealousy" speech just now and chose Leli. -24 approval...reload after I got my giggles. I should have taken him to camp and seen if I could initiate tent time too!

*edit* yep I just initiated Tent TIme with Alistair on Roland.  Got some pics of First Knight with my boy and Ali.I don't know how broken it makes the game but it was definitely fun watching!  OMG my Cousland boy just got ninja loved by the Templar!!

*waves* from a fellow European  and long-time on and off lurker. And agree, morphs and toolset are a good topic, I always get answers when I post questions about those even if it can be 5 pages later

Usually I have to catch up like 20 pages in the morning because the thread moves so fast during the night. Well it's a good distraction at work. Every time my two collegues go take a smoke break I take a "read up in the Alistair thread" break

Haha, I know how it feels. My daughters are 15 and 18, so it's not too bad if they catch a bit of it, they usually end up rolling their eyes at me. Crazy mum! But they are kinda used to their mum having crazy game obsessions
